Hi Jacque (and all)

I haven't been back to this thread in a while and am amazed at the interest my original question has created!

The genesis of the question was this:
I had a potential client who used WhatsApp and suggested that a custom keyboard would save him HOURS every day! (without clarifying how)

I assumed that the only way that was possible was probably something like canned sentences or even paragraphs in response to a single key press.
A quick demonstration was written in LC showing a number of sentences and paragraphs displayed in a window depending on the key pressed.
One could select the text and copy (with a button) and paste it into the WhatsApp app. That was as close to a solution that I was able to come up with quickly!
He never responded to me and for me, the problem went away!
