Hello David,

Welcome to the LiveCode forums.

Are you actually using LC 9.6.3, or did you mean to write 9.6.13? Also, have you seen this new lesson:

Kind regards

The community edition is not supported any more.
I believe Android system updates may have made the older build tools incompatible. There have been some points where it has been necessary to change or rename or remove some versions build tools folder in the Android sdk, but I think you will need more than that.
Without more information about your specific environment it is impossible to say what you would need. This is not the forum to discuss the community edition though.

Hello David,

Indeed, the community version is no longer supported.

If I remember correctly, for v9.6.3 you need to install Android 10.0 (Q) - API 29, and v28.0.0 or 29.0.0 of the Build tools.

Kind regards,
Panos

I have done that but all to no avail so should I download another version of livecode? And if so what version should I download?

Hi David,

9.6.3 was the last Community (= FREE) version of Livecode, any newer version will cost you money.

Best
