HTML5 onto my website!! Please help!!!

Post by dchitrodom » Mon Jun 15, 2020 6:24 pm

Hello!
For my internship, I created an infographic on a free site and it gives me the option to download the infographic as an HTML5 file. From my understanding, HTML5 is not used like an embed code and when I open up the HTML5 to view the code, it's very very long. I want to embed my infographic onto my website with HTML5, but I'm not sure how to do that since the code is so long. Does anyone know if there's a way to incorporate the HTML5 code onto my website?
Please help! I've searched and searched trying to figure out more about HTML5, but can only find information on it for embeding videos and gaming.

Is there another category that I should post this in instead? Sorry, my coding language is very basic so I wasn't sure which forum to post it in. I posted it in the HTML5 forum.

Well, unless there is an obvious connexion with LiveCode, surely the most sensible
idea would be to post it in some forum concerned with HTML5 rather than in
these forums.

How did you decide to bring that question to these forums, dchitrodom?

It says I'm posting in the HTML5 forum so I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do

There is only one thing we expect of anyone using these LiveCode forums: that they have some interest in LiveCode.

What are you building with LiveCode?

These forums are for anything related to the use of the programming language "LiveCode". You can find out about it here https://livecode.com . We think that your question has nothing to do with LiveCoding. We think that your question is about HTML5 instead.

Sure, there is a sub-forum here related to how to use LiveCode with HTML5.

If we are wrong and you are using LiveCode, please upload your stack here. People here will try to help. If you don't know what a stack is, then you are probably not using LiveCode.

If you want to learn about HTML5 and how to use it, there is a great site located here.
https://www.w3schools.com

What you downloaded, I suspect, was not just a graphic. I think that you may have copied the HTML code for the whole web page. Anyway, if you are asking about HTML5 here, you are in the wrong place.

Hi Linda!
Thank you for the nice, informational comment. I wasn't aware that this was a LiveCode only forum. My coding language is very basic so I thought this was a forum for anything related to code.
I definitely am not using LiveCode so my question is no longer applicable.
Thanks for helping me understand this forum and the recommendation! I really appreciate it :D
