Requesting feedback on new docs for dbLib

Post by SoapDog » Mon Apr 29, 2019 9:56 am

Hey Friends,

I've been working on a new release for dbLib for a while and part of it is producing better documentation. Even though it is not yet complete, I think that the new documentation is good and it might already be valuable for people here as it applies to the current release.

I'd be keen to learn get feedback on it from people using the library or that are curious about the library (you can fetch the GPL version and use the same docs). So far, I've basically added an API reference. Other more complete parts such as a tutorial will come later.

Hi Andre,

first of all are you aware that http://fon.nu, which is shown in your signature, shows an account suspended error when visited.

I´ve purchased a commercial library long time ago but did not use it yet. Not because of the library, but because of lack of time to dive into it.

The docs looks very good and i will try to port one of my older apps to make use of your lib.

Please exucuse if i have asked this before, but there is no special commercial version as download available, right? The library code is the same for both license types, right?

Regards,
Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Oops, fon.nu has been deactivated for some time. I just removed it from my signature. Thanks for pointing out.

As you mentioned the GPL and the Commercial libraries are exactly the same. The only change is the license. Depending on what you're doing you can go with GPL.

Feel free to reach out my email if you need anything! :D

I haven't gone through all the documentation yet, but the video was nice and clear Andre.
