My revlet toolTips won't show up in Browsers
I posted this last year with no responses. Perhaps I was posting in the wrong area. I have numerous helpful toolTips on the buttons, images whose tool tips say "click to hide me!" etc. My revlets toolTips won't show up in Browsers. The toolTips show up fine when you mouse over the objects in native Revolution Media browse mode. It does not work in the online revlet even when accessed on local hard drive however. I don't want to actually code each tip myself with a mouseEnter command and the toolTip property followed by my character string in order for the tool tips to show up online. Everything else is working as should be expected.
True confession: I am still using the old RevMedia app. I will order the new LiveCode version shortly but is there something in the revlet set-up materials I have missed that keeps toolTips from showing up in Internet browsers?

why don't you just tell us how you did it, instead of asking for email addresses from strangers?

Re: My revlet toolTips won't show up in Browsers
Hey folks,
Although I have no ideas as to why or why not... but tool-tips are working just fine for me using either FireFox (Ver. 3.6.13) or I.E. (Ver. 8.0.) on my Windows 7 machine. Haven't tested on Mac.

And here is the stack I used, complete with screenshots that were posted:

Re: My revlet toolTips won't show up in Browsers
Thanks for the replies. I left out that most of the browsers on my school Macs are Safari 5. I will double check my PC's at school and see what they are running. Judging from the replies, we probably have a browser specific problem. I will download one or two of the successful browsers mentioned and see if they work for my revlets.

I did test my revlets tool tips in Explorer 8 and they work fine. We have a Safari problem. After I buy my LiveCode upgrade, maybe I can get some help from the developers. Thanks runrev community for your help.

Re: My revlet toolTips won't show up in Browsers
FINAL UPDATE ON THIS TOPIC: With the latest plug-in download and latest version of LiveCode making the revlet, problem fixed. Even in Safari, the Tooltips show up after a short wait. Now my 5th graders will see the "Click to hide me!" hints when they clutter the screen with too many helpful software screenshots and MIDI keyboard equipment images. Thanks, Live Code for whatever you did!
