Need programmer to help with registering URL handlers
We are looking for a Revolution programmer who can build a simple standalone that registers itself on Mac OS X and Windows so that a link clicked in a web page or email on the users computer will launch the standalone and pass it parameters, similar to the iTunes links in web pages that launches iTunes:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSt ... 8&s=143441 <http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSt ... 8&s=143441>
All we need is for the parameters to show up in a simple text field, we can take it from there.
Please reply to this posting or send a private message.

This came up on the use-rev list today, and the result seems surprisingly easy thanks to some pointers from Trevor:

The post from "Sylvie808" is spam, but has no link.
The link in the original post isn't spam; I know the author. Nor was mine.
Which link should we avoid?

Well, aye. There've been a spate of spam posts of that ilk lately. I've mentioned them to Heather and she's hit them with the spam killing stick.
I do believe that if there is a post after the "spam" post, it will be very awkward for the mods to delete that individual one. Not certain that it will "break" the thread, but I think it's hard enough to make it more desirable just to delete any links rather than the post itself. That's what I believe happened with Sylvie's post.
