Visualizing data

Post by mwieder » Sun Mar 07, 2021 9:39 pm

BSidesSF is virtual this year, so we're revisiting some talks from earlier years. Here's one I missed last year that deals with various aspects of visualizing data: why to avoid pie charts, how and when to use log scales, some rules of thumb, a fascinating real-life example of effects of simple visualization, etc.

Not sure this is the right forum for this post, but it seemed like the closest thing.

Now that was fascinating, China was merely interesting to watch, but Vietnam......HOLY CATS!

<the discussion about testing / fixing was also interesting>
