Only the first letter of title shows up in titlebar

Hello,
For some reason in my standalone that starts with a video introduction the titlebar only shows the first letter of the title in the titlebar. On subsequent running of the app the intro video in not shown and the full title is displayed correctly.
I've tried set label of this stack, but that had no effect.
Has anyone else seen this problem and have a solution?
It's clear that it is a combination of what I'm doing in preOpen and openCard/Stack as I've run video's plenty of times before.
I'd like to look at this from the opposite side and ask what would cause the titlbar to specifically show only one character?
Thanks,
Simon

Hi Simon,
two questions:
Does this happen on Windows?
Were these stacks originally created on a Mac?
If you can answer "yes" to both questions then I might have the answer, since I also exerienced this a couple of day before in our project
Add "menu" to the decorations of the problem stacks!
That solved my problem with the lonely single char in the title bar.
Looks like this "inconvenience" was introduced with Rev 2.9.
At least worht a try...
Best
Klaus
P.S.
An answer to your mail is on its way.

Hi Klaus,
It does happen in Windows but was created in Windows.
I tried specifically stating the decorations but it still didn't help.
Had to ship it yesterday so my work around was to put up a blank card before it for .1 seconds.
- 2.9 is very fine
- a tribute to Revolution
- but for the lonely character
- there seems to be no solution
Best Regards,
Simon

Hi Simon,
hmm, too bad.
I thought it would be that easy since that was exactly what happend to me, a lonely first character in the title bar...

I have the same problem. Windows xp 64
Thanks for the workaround Simon I was considering a preloader for my program anyhow so that works for me.

Hello Drachen,
I'm afraid the work around is not perfect, I just received an email today where now it's showing lots of wingding type characters in place of letters.
There is some computer dependent property I've yet to discover.

Simon

OK so I see it's been reported:
http://quality.runrev.com/qacenter/show_bug.cgi?id=6343
But under a severity of normal? And I'm not sure that the bug report is related to running QuickTime.
How long does it usually take to get a bug fixed?
Do they take bribes? Like, if I say I'll renew my update licence for a year if they fix this? Or maybe an offensive move, like honk my horn every time I go by KM's house until it gets fixed? How about I promise to stop dating your daughter?
Anything?
Thanks,
Simon

Hi Simon,
the best way to get an answer on this is to write to
support@runrev.com
they will be able to tell you more than us. As this forum is mostly community driven, the people posting here have no insight on RRs inner workflow.
All the best,
malte

Another route to getting a bug looked at, is to add your comments, workarounds, stacks and examples to the bug report. I see that our engineer has looked at this bug, but was unable to reproduce it. Therefore, more information from anyone suffering from it, is likely to be useful!

Hello Heather,
I was holding off posting a new work around until I received more feedback from the field.
What I found is that if you have a media file playing on cd 1 then do a lock screen, visual effect, unlock screen to cd 2 the problem happens.
But if you just do visual effect go cd 2 there is no problem.
As I said I'm still waiting to hear back from more clients but so far everything is looking good.
