Odd Player Behavior

I am using Rev Media, latest version. I drag a player from the Tool palette onto a stack. The controller does not show up. Where it is supposed to be, I get only a black space that does not respond to mouse clicks. Any suggestions?

1. I am running Windows Vista with Quicktime 7 installed.
2. The controller shows up when I use Rev Studio, but then disappears when I specify an imported video in the "Source" window of the inspector.
