Make Docset updated-guide images restored

It's a funny world. Sometimes synchronous things just happen. For some reason I needed to check one of the "guide" docs from LC. So I opened Dash on my Mac to do so. The guides and text was all there but seemed rather dense. scrolling through the guide of interest I noticed there were no images. I t...

Re: layoutUpdated - Responsivelayout

Thank you stam. After my little rant I thought perhaps I needed to step back and remember where I had heard the term “responsive layout” before and I remembered it was to do with web layouts being responsive to viewing platform. Looking through the article even explained to me what media queries (in...

Re: layoutUpdated - Responsivelayout

Thanks for the attempted explanation stam, but as I haven't coded websites for a long time (just straight HTML, Dreamweaver was nice when it first came out, and Wordpress) I have no idea what a breakpoint is, let alone a bootstrap type breakpoint. I mean bootstrap takes me back to loading the CPU wi...

Re: layoutUpdated - Responsivelayout

the documentation is a tad sparse and esoteric. for example layout breakpoints seem to be a big thing but what are they? The flex factor is another..."If non-zero, the amount of space the control can occupy on the main axis is determined by dividing the free space (after placing the hard controls) b...

layoutUpdated - Responsivelayout

Well the Responsive layout simplified my initial layout issues for my project but seems to have hit a bug. There is a message "layoutUpdated" which supposedly is sent once the library has done its thing. Reading the docs within the responsivelayout library... "Use the layoutUpdated message if you wa...

Re: Forum Password

I'd love to see these forums move to Discourse or some other forum tool that plays better with mobile, but it'd be so much work I doubt anyone is inclined to undertake it. I use discourse on my ipad for the discussions on the firecore site [makers of the infuse media player, very nice for viewing a...

Re: stretching two joined fields keeping the join stationary

Thanks @jacque but no. The card settings you use wrecks the layout od the other controls on the card. Interestingly though I see you have a letter version of the MP than I. Another unannounced update to the bundle. Also it took me a while to discover how to select a CARD for the MP. control-click on...

Re: stretching two joined fields keeping the join stationary

@fourthworld, Yes it is a script, but one I didn’t have to write (nor maintain). As for the engine bug, it will be fixed in rc3. I haven’t tried this new solution in rc2 on iOS16 (I should) So I don’t know whther the responsive layout was impacted by the bug. However my previous code which was trigg...

Re: stretching two joined fields keeping the join stationary

Thank You @Bernd :D Here is a mock up of what I wanted, now working as desired. Screenshot 4.jpg Screenshot 5.jpg The nav bars will have different icons (graphics and function) The fields will not have borders nor scrollbars, also the fields will adjust font size according to their size. I had done ...

Re: stretching two joined fields keeping the join stationary

Hi craig, Thanks, but I know how to script it. I was hoping it could be done with the GM or RL. I am using the responsive layout for other controls on the card and was hoping it could include this. These two fields sit below another field which stretches as well but in both axes, above the duel fiel...

stretching two joined fields keeping the join stationary

Hi Everyone, I have finally gotten around to using the "responsive layout" and so far it is looking promising. However, there is one thing I can't seem to get, either with it or the Geometry Manager. I have two fields side by side on my card. I would like them to have the following properties. The l...

Re: reserved word or not ?

The web API lists messages. According to the Dash docset there are 429 messages. If I remember correctly these should be in an sqlite db in the docset package. Or you can dive into the docset creator stack and just add a script snippet to write then out to a text file when you run it.

Re: DASH docset updated to LC 10 dp4 what yoy

Very happy this discussion took place (thanks stam) Interestingly the dispatch was actually in my colorise code that I lifted from the SE utils. I just deleted the line from the posting. In DocSet Maker, I have commented out the lines. I didn't know what they did (not realising there was the need fo...

Hi stam,
If only :|
I have yet to discern any pattern to the colorise function working or not.

Just tried it out, dragging and icon onto LC stack.
Very nice.
