Garage Band Files don't get listed
Curious about this and think I'd learn something if I had the answer. .jpg, .mp3, .pages, .doc ETC. all work in this script but .band files don't. Curious to know why. on mouseup put empty into tfiles set the folder to "/users/tomcole/desktop/Garage Band Folder" set the folder to folderpath put the ...

Re: Multiple Icon Images in buttons in Background Fill
You know I think it is a good idea for everyone to remind people of the difference between those developmental dp programs and the stable ones. On my Mac there was an update feature in the dock and it happily asks if you want to upgrade. I didn't know those upgrades weren't the best versions to use....

Re: Multiple Icon Images in buttons in Background Fill
Thanks. Your response helped. I don't have a CLEAR button, but I right-clicked the color there and got a reset to default option. I'm not psychic, so I didn't think to right click in that little square. Need a CLEAR button here I think.

Re: Multiple Icon Images in buttons in Background Fill
No because it makes it transparent instead of the default button color. I just want to toggle a color on or off. Funny; I'm getting two kinds of object inspector views of buttons as in this graphic, and if I click on a graphic the card or stack inspector comes up. Maybe something's going wrong. I'm ...

Multiple Icon Images in buttons in Background Fill
1. Suddenly I have multiple images for the icon chosen in the background fill for a button. 2. When choosing a background fill color (or pattern) there seems to be no way to change it back to the default with no color or no fill. Ah, now I see an Icon option that addresses the problem in # 1, but I ...

Re: Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1
my buttons when clicked do nothing They must contain quite complex scripts then. I am still using stacks I wrote in RunRev 1.1.1 with LiveCode 8.1.8 without a hitch. The ONLY problem I ever had was converting my Devawriter Pro source files from 4.5 to 7.1 because of the change in the way Unicode gl...

Re: Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1
A lot of people use LC daily on macOS, so I'm sure we can help you past this hurdle. Permissions errors in any app are usually a result of attempting to write to a file in a protected location. What is the full path where you're trying to save the stack file? Thanks for replying. I'm not getting pa...

Re: Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1
I guess that would be true. However, if I cannot solve this permissions problem, what's steps would be easiest to upgrade to the newest version so it will work properly on my Imac? Which LC version might I begin with to begin the process and where can I get the earlier version?

Re: Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1
I run Mac OS 9 as "Classic" both on a G4 macMini and on a G5 iMac. If you want to "port" a stack authored on RunRev 2.8.1 to something a bit more up-to-date (say LC 8.1.8), then I would suppose one of the ways is to move it "up" by easy stages via 3.0, 4.0, 4.5 and so on and tidy up glitches as the...

Re: Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1
I can't imagine, I got Mc starter kit running on all kinds of stuff from windows to solaris, but I couldn't get it to do anything on Osx (Os 9 completely different story, runs like a champ there!). It really strikes me odd too, since (from my understanding) Osx is a bsd variant, and I have Mc runni...

Re: Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1
Well, shifting licences or not, a "lifetime" licence of RR 2.8.1 won't do anyone much good as the hardware and the operating systems that standalones generated by 2.8.1 can run one will be dumped, gone and history well before . . . I cannot get RR 2.8.1 to work on Mac OS 10.7.5, so I wonder what th...

Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1
I'm using Studio 2.8.1 and foolishly upgraded to High Sierra on my Macintosh. All works well, but I can't save my stacks because I get a permissions error: "Can't save stack...due to an error: can't open stack backup file Check the file path, and make sure you have sufficient permissions." I was hop...
