Re: LC Commercial + Mobile Development
Hi Graham OK you definately have something wrong with your licensing (see attached screen-shot of what I see when activating LC) so you do need Heather's help at RunRev (they are usually very good at customer care) It also may be useful to search the forum/uselist for 'licencing problems' to see wha...

Re: LC Commercial + Mobile Development
I just do not understand why in the Commercial Version 6.x after modifying the Mobile Support, the Android Option does not light up in Standalone Settings. Do you mean that you can't put a tick in the "Build for Android" checkbox in the Android tab of the StandAloneBuilder and that everything in th...

Re: LC Commercial + Mobile Development
Yep that would do it - try without Zygodact...gpearson wrote:My stack that was created in Commercial is not Password Protected. However it does use Zygodact Registration System which might be the cause of it not working in the Community Version of the IDE.

Re: SQLite Data between Stacks
Graham First of all have you included the database library for your second stack? What happens if you try: put revQueryDatabase(sDatabaseID, tSelectMarketsSQL) into tSelectMarketsRecordSetID instead of: put the value of revQueryDatabase(sDatabaseID, tSelectMarketsSQL) into tSelectMarketsRecordSetID ...

Re: LC Commercial + Mobile Development
Hi Graham A stack built in 'commercial' should run in 'community'. Does your stack make use of any password-protected libraries? Is your stack password-protected? Regarding getting your app to run on Android, does it build OK? Got your certificate signings sorted out? Are you by any chance including...

Re: Adding pictures
Yes its amazing what you can learn on the forum (I know I have in the past, and still do of course) - BTW I do a similar thing with sending out accompanying audio files - and you can also have accompanying text files etc

Re: Adding pictures
Hi Carel When you make a LiveCode StandAlone you can include files (and folders) to be included in with your actual app so that when installed on a target machine you could have your store of images which can be called on as Klaus explained. Each OS needs to be treated differently as regards where t...

Re: Possible LiveCode Users Group in South West England
Thanks Simon
Yeah it looks like a bigger group is a no-go at this time - maybe in the future? Do let me know when you return to the WestCountry and I'll provide the tea and cakes...

Re: Possible LiveCode Users Group in South West England
Hi all
So far I have a total of 3 responses on Doodle http://doodle.com/s3inwq58bh8tq9k2 (thanks John & Nishok) and unless we get some more - or emails making contact - it's looking like there will be not be a LiveCode group in South West England at this time.

Possible LiveCode Users Group in South West England
Hi all LiveCoders in the South West of England (or thereabouts) In the past few months John Dixon, John Paterson, Peter Alcibiades, Ian Wood and I have been emailing each other about a LiveCode Users Group here in the South West of England I contacted Heather who said that when we're ready to go for...

Sean this looks great - not only nice code but a clever approach to the screen size / pixel density conundrum - nice work!

Re: Initial 'stab' to get constrainRectangularCallback going
OK think I've found out what is going on... Basically, I have fat fingers (probably fairly average for a guy though) and what was happening is that on an iPhone 4 the 'thumb' graphic of the slider was too small. I was too lazy to change it from Obelo's script where he had it at 22x22 pixels (which i...

Re: Initial 'stab' to get constrainRectangularCallback going
Hi Malte Thanks for the reply, I too am responding late Thanks also for suggestion about constrainRectangularInit but I send a message to do this from the card's openCard script (see below) on openCard send constrainRectangularInit to graphic "grc_Thumb2" in 20 milliseconds send constrainRectangular...

Initial 'stab' to get constrainRectangularCallback going
Hi all I've created a slider using Obelo's slider tutorial/script. For iOS, on the simulator (I'm using LC 5.5.1 on Lion on a Mac) everything works fine. On a device (iPhone 4 running 5.1.1) there is an initial delay in getting the slider to do anything. It needs a bit of a 'stab' on the slider butt...
