Hi Pete,

Does this still happen if you move the record up or down in your records?

I've encountered something similar to this in a Mysql database where I could find no reson for an error accorring, but moving the record cured the problem.

Hi Magice, I moved from Delphi (PASCAL) a while back and at the time the cross platform benefits of Revolution were not important to me as all of my apps are used in-house on Windows only systems. Since then two Macs have been purchased and WOW! no need to rewite the apps, just choose Mac as a deplo...

Getting there....

Created a custom skin using a tab graphic for the tab launcher at the top centre of the screen so the window now only occupies the area of the tab graphic. this then starts a new stack when moused over which contains the slide down panel and links.

..Revolution it's the best!

Thanks Gyroscope,
No this will not work as even when the slide down is up there is still a window over the top of the screen and it's this window which I need to click through.

Sort of Task Bar (not sure what to call this!)

I'm in the process of planning a new application which has a launcher exe which fires up stacks as required, no problem there. Now where I'm stuck is with the bar that will contain links to the stack files to be launched. I plan to have a tab which sits top middle of the screen which when moused ove...

Another approach is to allow your install maker program to manage the updates.

I use this set up maker

http://www.ssesetup.com/

It's free for non-commercial use and has a built in update feature.

This is seen quite often on forums now.
It's one of the ways to prevent automatic spamming of a forum. Automated systems normally will move on to another target if they do not receive a response in the time they expect.

It's a sign of the times I'm afraid!

Hi mwieder, Not sure about the UNC address, I will do more testing. Also I've not yet tested on Vista (as yet). Re the admin privileges. That's what I would have thought, however I just used this method loged in under a normal user (on 2 computers just to make sure) and both times were able to set t...

Creating a System DSN - Example

Please see forum thread http://forums.runrev.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2382 for the history to this item The Problem: Ok so you've got a client who insists on using Access, he's asked you to come up with a solution which uses their existing database over their network and this has to be deployed on...

OK, I think I've exhausted all permatations and have come to the conclusion that FileDSN will not work with the ODBC Revolution dll (dbodbc.dll) It's a shame because using a FileDSN is an easy way to add connectivity to an Access db, you need to just deploy the FileDSN file with the application. Any...
