Deploying Compiled Apps
Hi, Any suggestions on the best way to deploy compiled apps? I've not compiled anything since 2013 so Im guessing things might have changed or moved on. Are there any current up to date deployment apps, sort of '1 click' type things for windows and mac? Im happy codesigning the app and or installer ...

Re: Two (Stacked) Title Bars in OSX
It's a bug as far as I can see to do with the tab bars in High Sierra. The tab bar is drawn even though it's not needed in the development environment and it has the same text in it as the top title bar giving the effect of two title bars at the top of the app. In the compiled version the tab bar do...

Re: Two (Stacked) Title Bars in OSX
Thanks Klaus.
The issue also seems to disappear when an app is compiled so it is just annoying, nothing to worry about after all.

Two (Stacked) Title Bars in OSX
I've been away for a while but just jumped back into the latest version of LiveCode and all of my stacks (new and existing) on OS-X have two title bars, one on top of the other. If I modify the window and remove the 'close' decoration I can get rid of the lower title bar, but of course, I lose the r...

Re: $_SESSION fails on LC Server 7.1.3-rc-1
Thanks for putting this up, I was tearing my hair out as I had just moved a domain from another host to diesel and I could not get the sessions to work! Hop do you go about getting the .lc files to be parsed by the 6.5 version of livecode? I have downloaded and put the 6.5 version in the cgi-bin, ex...

Sending email via a specified server
Hi, Is there any way with Livecode to send email via a different SMTP server to the one on the server hosting the script itself. Ive been running into a brick wall trying to send email from diesel.on-rev.com to any Microsoft email account, hotmail, outlook etc. Ive contacted On-Rev support a few tim...

Re: Run a Stack on Server and communicate with it with a bro
Deleting the .idx file only temporarily fixes the problem. Livecode creates a new one as soon as the sessions code is called again, and soon enough the sessions will fail again. Sometimes it can be as with as little as 6 session requests, or as many as 100 but it will always fail and lock the engine...

Re: Which mergExt will work with LC7 AND iOS8?
You can use the externals you have already downloaded as long as you like if that's what you mean. I guess so, but do the externals downloaded in January work with the Livecode that has been updated with the 64bit option needed for the app store. Im getting the feeling they don't which unfortunatel...

Re: So, what am I doing wrong
Yes, sorry its taken me a while to post an update.
You need to specify each external individually in the copy files pane, putting them all in one folder and simply selecting that no longer works for some reason.
When the externals are added one file at a time they work perfectly.

So, what am I doing wrong
Ive been away from Livecode and Mergext for a while due to illness, but I'm just trying to update my apps to work with iOS8. Running Livecode 6.6.5 and xCode 6, I create a simply app with a button, test it against the iOS8 simulator and it works fine. Add a binaries folder and put any external in it...

Re: Mergext & Livecode 7
Sorry, I have done more testing and they work when tested on iOS7, but fail on iOS8.1 so this might be an issue with the externals and iOS8.1 and not Livecode 7 at all. Is there anything different id need to do with the externals for them to work with iOS8.1, at the moment I just put them in a binar...
