Writing to text file

Hi All, I've been away from LC for about a year and am now working on a project that I'm having some trouble with. I want to write to a text file on the next line of a file. I want to make sure I don't overwrite what has already been written. Here is the code I am using to write a single line (which...

Control Enter Key action

Hi I have a field that I need to have the user enter a word or two in a field. When the ENTER or RETURN key is pressed I don't want to add another line, I want to focus on another field. I either need to automatically tab to the next field. I do not want another line to be put in the active field. I...

Monitor Keyboard in background

Is it possible to monitor the keyboard from outside the LC program?
What I mean is while running another program can a LC program monitor keystrokes and react to a particular key combination?

Re: 3d graphics

I'm not quite sure Klaus.
I found a job that said that heavy use of 3D graphics is required. I assume that means the ability to rotate an image of a 3 dimensional object on the screen.

Re: Continuous scrolling field

There will be maybe 2 or 3 news stories that need to be continuously scrolled without user input. Maybe 2 or 3 times a day someone will either change the stories or add more.

Continuous scrolling field

I need to be able to have a field that I can have the user paste a news story or two into and then have it continuously scroll so it can be read and start over when the bottom has been reached.
I know this must be possible but how?
Getting back into LC after a brief hiatus.

Encrypting small .txt files

Never having delved into the world of encryption I now have a need to encrypt about 9 .txt files. Many of the lines will be empty and most lines are only 1 or 2 words. The desktop app allows the user to input data that is saved in a .txt file. there are 9 files ranging from 9 lines to 55 lines. I wa...

I think what I need to use is the saveStackRequest statement.
Trying it out now.
