Re: Unable to build app for testing - manifest ERROR

Hi Neil, Thanks for responding, was away for a while hence the delay here. Figured out in the meantime what I'd done wrong. In the standalone application settings I had put: Version Name : 0.0.1 and Version Code 0.0.1 As soon as I changed the Version Code to 1, it all worked fine. Regards, Bert

Re: Unable to build app for testing - manifest ERROR

Hi, I'm running into the same error here: "Unable to build app for testing: could not generate package manifest." Running Mac OSX 10.7.5, Livecode 6.1.2 RC2 [updated today], Android SDK 22.2.1, Java 7 Update 25. Haven't touched the manifest, didn't know what or where to be honest. Any ideas? Many th...

MySQL connect on iOS

Hi, Having read through the forums and release notes [and elsewhere] I understand that the MySQL commands as they work on the desktop, do not work for iOS? So, I'm not able to directly talk to an online MySQL database from within an iOS app? Just want confirmation really so I know I have to go the P...

Opening files on Android

Hi,

I understand that the browsercontrol under Android doesn't support the viewing of PDFs, docs, etc as it does on iOS.

Is there another way to get around that? Can you open a native or 3rd party app and have it display the file?
The files would be included in the app.

Many thanks,

Bert

Creating ipa for ad hoc distribution

Hi, New to the forums and LiveCode, and after the trial version of the commercial edition, have now started properly with the Community version. What I'm trying at the moment is re-building a few projects I have made for clients before as CD-ROM [with Director], so I can show them what can be done a...
