Re: are there attempts to develop a revBrowser compatible with Linux ?

Further versions don't work for certain distros with certain desktop environments with certain collation settings.

Re: are there attempts to develop a revBrowser compatible with Linux ?

I am happy to answer with a clear yes or no, my post was an attempt to clarify what version you are using and how you are creating a browser in order to answer that question. In versions prior to LiveCode 8, the only way to create a browser was to use revBrowserOpen and revBrowserOpenCEF (the revBro...

Re: are there attempts to develop a revBrowser compatible with Linux ?

Hi kresten, I presume you are using the browser widget? Have you tried using it in 9 DP 11? What desktop environment do you use? Also, it's worth trying the workaround of launching without your locale's collation rules: LC_ALL= LC_NUMERIC=C "~/.runrev/components/livecodecommunity-9.0.0-dp-11.x86_64/...

Re: How to get started with ... everything?

I'm glad you figured that out - it is in fact a known issue that didn't have a bug report! I've added one now.

Re: Could not compile application class

Could you could edit the script of stack "revSaveAsAndroidStandalone" and find the line

Code: Select all

answer "Could not compile application class"

and change it to

Code: Select all

answer "Could not compile application class" & return & the result

and see what happens? There should be a more informative error.

Re: How to get started with ... everything?

@jameshale For example if we were calling a Mac binary, what code folder would be required? In terms of what folder to put code in, this release note should be somewhat helpful: https://github.com/montegoulding/livecode/blob/3aefffaf3981608593085cd30bc526040f79d738/docs/notes/feature-code_library_su...

Re: How to get started with ... everything?

Hopefully it's just the missing ampersand:

Code: Select all

return tIntList[1] formatted as string & "," & tIntList[2] formatted as string

Re: Send Message to Livecode from LCB Library

Hi Gurgen - you're missing a call to `MCEngineRunloopBreakWait()` after the `post` - this wakes up the engine thread. I'll file a bug as this should probably just happen behind the scenes without having to call it explicitly.

Let me know if that fixes your problem.

Re: [Q] Cocoa class delegates

Could you post the code you are using, or send it to ali dot lloyd at livecode dot com? I'll try and figure out what's going on.

Re: [Q] Cocoa class delegates

In what way is it not working? Is there an error message?

Re: [Q] Cocoa class delegates

Hi! Sorry for the delay in replying to this, just got back from the holidays. There's a slight wrinkle with BOOL being typedef'd to different primitive types on Mac (signed char) and iOS (bool) - for this reason there is some special-case code that allows a CBool to be used as the parameter in a del...

Re: Widget sources?

Most of the widgets included in livecode, Plus a few more, have their source code available here: https://github.com/livecode/livecode/tr ... ns/widgets

There is in fact a progress bar widget that we did not seem sufficiently polished to include- you could potentially make use of this.

Re: working with lcdoc files

Are you building from source? What version are you trying it in? When I do dispatch function "revDocsParseDocFileToLibraryArray" to stack "revDocsParser" with "/Users/alilloyd/Documents/GitHub/livecode/docs/dictionary/command/move.lcdoc"; revPutArray the result I get doc = 1 = Example = 1 = move ima...
