Re: Can LC do math with precision to the 7th decimal place?

Hi Dr. please decide: 7 or 9 decimal places? :D Yes, LC can, but you may need to use -> format: put 1/3 -> 0.333333 put format("%1.7f",1/3) -> 0.3333333 put format("%1.8f",1/3) -> 0.33333333 put format("%1.9f",1/3) -> 0.333333333 put format("%1.10f",1/3) -> 0.3333333333 etc. Hope that helps! Re: could not compile service support class

Hi Tom, welcome to the forum! (A little Hello or something would not have hurt for the very fist posting.) I don't develop for mobile, don't even own any cellphone or tablet, but maybe this helps: http://forums.livecode.com/search.php?keywords=could+not+compile+service+support+class Best from german...

Re: Complete list of livecode commands

Good idea! You can have it a bit shorter: ... launch url ("https://livecode.fandom.com/wiki/" & any line of (the commandnames & cr & the functionnames)) ... :D However the WIKI entries are obvioulsy mixed upper and lower case and the comandnames etc. are all lowercase! :-/ So: https://livecode.fando...

Re: Complete list of livecode commands

Hi Torsten,

you could start with:

Code: Select all

...
put "Commands" & CR & the commandnames & CR & CR & "Functions" & CR & the functionnames into fld "my list of LC commands and functions"
...
Remember, this is not C(++, minusminus, sharp, flat, subjective, objective, rejective or whatever)! :-)

Re: Adding days to a date

Hi hrcap,

we do not have a LEAP year in 2019. Try with
-> 4/7/20
and you will get
-> 4/7/21
because 2021 is in fact a leap year. :D

Re: Camera Doesn't return control to LC

Hi Tom, looks like you are mixing two different commands -> mobilepickphot and cameracontrol So you either use cameracontrol throughout: ... cameraControlCreate "myCamera" cameraControlSet "myCamera", "rect", (20, 25, 418, 600) cameraControlSet "myCamera", "visible", "true" cameraControlSet "myCamer...

But when you say you don't think this Light/Dark mode support in LC any time soon, may I ask why?
This is just my personal assumption.

Re: macOS 10.14 Mojave compatibility.

Hi megumi,

"Dark/Light Mode" is not (yet?) supported by Livecode!
And I don't think we will see this any time soon.

Re: Using a substack as a library stack

Hi scruffycoder, welcome to the forum! Well you wrote "function" but in fact this is more a command! You can either write: command sayHelloWorld put "Hello World" end sayHelloWorld Of if you really want to use it as a function you have to use the "function" syntax in your "mouseup" handler: function...

Re: Error on 'put "My text" into the selection' (Solved)

... Have you seen any indication from the team that the change you see in macOS is intentional? No, that was just an assumption, since this has been the case on the Mac, too, at least a long time ago. Therefore I did not try this again until yesterday and was really surprised to see it actually work.

Re: Setting the linktext of linked text in a field

What version are you using? You could add something like this to check: on mouseup put the selectedchunk into tLink ask question "Enter URL:" put it into tURL ## !! put tURL ## into fld "test" ## !! set the textstyle of tLink to "link" set the linktext of tLink to tURL end mouseup
