Re: Batch file with a flag -- need assistance

What is the appropriate response? By which I mean, if you copy and paste *exactly* that into a command prompt, what happens?
If it works, then a dummy console title of a pair of double quotes beforehand might be the answer. If not, your whole variable and / or quote wrapping is an issue.

Re: Batch file with a flag -- need assistance

You may need to experiment with the quotes wrapping the path you provide. 1, what do you get if you answer tfile immediately before the shell command. 2, on Windows you could need a dummy pair of double quotes before the tfile path to act as an empty title for the console window (put quote & quote &...

Re: tapirsoft site possible issue

I would personally agree to that Richard. I believe Mats is a soloist and has lots of competing demands on his time. I don't suppose there is any significant number of visitors driven by this forum to Mats' site, but think it is prudent to avoid that risk. As an open source project, it is not rIDE I...

Re: HTML coding help for a newbie

Unfortunately it doesn't. One Eye, welcome here but I don't believe you will be able to get much help in the way you want. While LiveCode does have a way to produce HTML5 content to embed in a web page, it is not fully developed yet, and certainly not a method used in a typical WordPress themed site.

Re: Problem in Querying SQLite Database

Errr, try checking answer tSubject && "looks like briefs but is it ACTUALLY briefs? :" && (tSubject is "briefs") the parentheses will resolve the boolean test and answer true if the content of the tSubject variable actually matches "briefs". I suspect that the answer will still be false though, beca...

Re: textEncode and Google Forms

Did someone call? I don't know that I am qualified to assume the go-to mantle here, but AFAIK: It largely depends on use-cases, as Thierry said. Content-Language is an entity header (server side) and I believe it doesn't have any meaningful purpose in a request header (client side). Content-Accept i...

Maybe stack "revNewScriptEditor1" perhaps?

Re: Problem in Querying SQLite Database

What do you get displayed when you answer tQuery? Does it look like the tSubject variable has been populated properly so you get a valid-seeming WHERE clause? The problem might be using the selectedText to populate the tSubject variable. It may have other data, perhaps spaces or line endings include...

Well, still without knowing how long, at least it appears to have been brought forward to target 9.0.5-rc-1 instead of having to wait until 9.1.0-dp-1

Re: A basic tutorial...

I lasted about a minute and a half before my half hour to kill was well and truly killed. The brief portion I saw looked fine pace-wise. I look forward to getting a chance to see the other 27 or so minutes. Then I might have some more feedback, but I applaud the effort nonetheless. A verbal commenta...

Re: Asking a little help with datagrid or file locations

That description sounds just right for datagrids.
Datagrids are complex beasts, but they are not just complex. They ARE much simpler than equivalent grouped control constructions, it's the reason for their existence.
And Trevor made them so they work, and well.

Re: Red dot breakpoints do not stick in v9

Red dots being ignored used to be a thing on Windows too, but it hasn't been a problem for a number of versions now. Sometimes the dots go orange and there's a mismatch in line numbers when editing, and it takes a few goes to "apply" for them to get back in sync and work as breakpoints again. I've n...

Gone now, but he had come back and edited, with a link to one of those compressed urls. It definitely showed as a link (maybe two, maybe broken) on my phone, and when I was replying in this thread, the previous message list showed some mangled code for that.
