Re: strange behavior with setting hilitedlines in substack

Got it to work putting the script in the substack, and removing the reference to the card and substack in the script when adressing the field (don't know why that was an issue). Thanks.

Re: Large number of images in a data grid

Hi, This is a desktop app so far (windows or OSX). I don't have cache control set on the DG. I am using LC 9.0.1. I may do a web version at some point, but not immediately, and a mobile version perhaps at a later date. I am working on a second app to manage music metadata, which will be using LC Ser...

Re: Large number of images in a data grid

Great, thanks I will test this out. I do have search terms , but cannot rule out the possibility that either I (or anyone else using the app - as I want to make it available to others) will just display all albums. Some people have quite large collections... I could also limit the number of albums d...

Re: Large number of images in a data grid

The loading takes some time, not the scrolling.

What do you mean by "paging methods"? Yes, if you could offer some help with specific methods that would be great.

Large number of images in a data grid

I am writing an application to display my albums in my music collection. I have set up a data grid with a form to display thumbnail (150x150) images of the album covers. The images are stored in an SQLite database. For the time being, I just populate the entire grid with search results, however, dep...

Re: strange behavior with setting hilitedlines in substack

Thanks. The multiple lines property is set for the field. Selecting multiple lines in the field with the mouse works fine.

I will try to put the script in the open card of the substack.

strange behavior with setting hilitedlines in substack

I am displaying a substack as a modal window, in order to select a list of items (with multiple selections). The selected items are stored back in a field of the main stack. When the substack is opened, I want to automatically highlite the items that were previously selected and stored in that field...

Re: Storing thumbnails of uploaded JPEG images

Thanks - I get an error "unknown chunk", but I assume I missed declaring tImage ? Does tImage have to contain the name of an existing image ? Anyway, copying imagedata works (using one of the defined images), so that is simpler. Thanks. To answer your question, I save the thumbnails to accelerate th...

Storing thumbnails of uploaded JPEG images

Hello, I am writing an application to browse through a music collection. Each album has a JPEG image file which I would like to store as a "thumb nail" (reduced size) in an SQLite database. In order to convert the image to a smaller size, I have created two invisible images in my stack, with fixed p...
