Hey Bernd,
It's close... and it's doing something, but it's not doing frame-by frames... at least not with mov and mp4 files. It steps the slider forwards, but the picture still sits where it is...
Thanks anayway!

Re: Working with Vector Graphics- Code
Hey...
Seems the powers that be have taken a liking to this post and want me to present it at the LiveCode Global thingy in September.
I may be refining and testing some script to get this in one piece by then!!!
Wish me luck!

Re: frame-byframe with Video Formats
Hey Capellan… Xeno… ha ha ha… I ain't no alien! Sadly, I don't just need a jpeg image, I need to just forward the video one frame, or backward it one frame, without too much jpeg creation etc. I'm currently working on getting any input videos into a format that I can use. I have a reformatting...

Re: frame-byframe with Video Formats
I know... I'm trying to find an alternative to the "play step back" command that doesn't work with all file types.
Is there an alternative to go backwards by one frame? Surely there is!

frame-byframe with Video Formats
I'm trying to script a frame-by-frame function for a video player object. I don't want to use the buttons on the player, as I have other functions such as different playrates that aren't on the player object itself. I am using the following code on forward frame and back frame buttons: on mousedown ...

Re: Video Formats (Solved... almost)
"play player "Movie"" works perfectly well. As does the other commands, except for play step forward and backward with mov files only. All other formats work, just not mov... If the play player command isn't supposed to work, it's not doing a good job of not working! :D What other command should be ...

And...
The "Play step forward player "Movie"" command doesn't work on .mov's. It does with avi's and the other one that used to work...
Thoughts?

Re: Video Formats
Is that a codec pack for the system? The videos play outside of Livecode, so I already have the codecs... Or is it a set of codecs for livecode. If so, why will it not play in standalone? I have same system, codecs etc on my computer as I do on another computer that I tested it on, and it worked the...

Video Player
Hi... Probably requested before... The video player object seems to be pretty glitchy (at least for me). Issues with loading file types, playing in background (alwaysbuffer), only playing audio, working at one time and not another etc. It sounds like there could be a better way of dealing with video...

Video Formats (Solved... almost)
Hi Brainstrust… Quick question that has probably been asked a thousand times Livecode Community 9.0 on Windows 10. I have an issue with loading videos. I have looked through the forum and found the same issue with different formats. So I am a bit bemused... In my IDE and standalone, I can load the f...

Re: Bugs with videos???
Update: Klaus gave me an idea about not creating and destroying players. I now have 3 players. 1 that shows when the "One Movie" button is hit, and disappears when the "Two Movie" button is hit. The other two do the opposite and I cross-manage filepaths… Everything now works. Play, 2 screens, load o...

Re: Bugs with videos???
Hey... I've been playing with the file, reconstructing it and copying in code from previous file (the one that was giving me the problem). To find the point where the livecode file stops working for me in the IDE... It seems to be when I add a second video player on to the screen using code... If I ...

Re: Threads for beginners
Do the tutorials included, and then pick a simple project to do and hack at it.
Check with the dictionary and search the forum here for what you want to do. Most of it you will find that way. The rest, you can ask. The people here are really helpful.
