Re: Steganography Coder

Thanks Richard.
Probably a mild increase in speed, but not noticeable. I will need to add a speed check to see what old vs new is. May be good for larger files, as every % decrease will make a big difference.
Thanks.

Re: Steganography Coder

I tried to post the stack, but couldn't, even in a zipped file, due to size limitations. I don't have any space elsewhere to post it either sadly! It will take a few minutes to reconstruct, but everything is in the post. All cut and paste, with a few numbers to change. If anyone wants, I can send th...

Steganography Coder

Hi people! Just thought I'd drop this in here for a bit of fun. I found an article online about encoding images into the RGB channel of other images, and thought that might be a fun little Livecode project to test my skills on. I couldn't attach the stack here because of size issues of attachments.....

Re: Export Snapshot into Card

Klaus...
You've done it again!
I don't think I could finish any new ideas without you!
"text" instead of "imagedata" has worked. Not sure why, but it's good to go.
I'll post the stack here when it's a little more polished. A nice fun little image manipulator.

Export Snapshot into Card

OK... I have been running in circles and need the brainstrust again! I have a substack that has a field with text in it. I want to convert the card into an image (jpeg) so I can use that as part of an image manipulation. The image will then be read as Black or White pixels, and "inserted" into anoth...

Re: HTML5 Deployment

Last time I tried to deploy HTML5, the engine was massive. Huge. Time consuming to download and run.
Maybe just give it a little more time to load and run.
I am sure there are better ways of getting HTML5 up and running...

Re: Moving and expanding Text Field Objects

I have had a load of trouble with objects of all kinds when moving AND resizing. What Craig says holds true. The object (field) is moved by it's anchor point unless you tell it otherwise. Objects are resized around their anchor point. The left, right, top and bottom will move when resizing, so you n...

Re: Rounding to the nearest 1/16

I am sure there's an easier way of doing this... --have a field called 'field' that you put the measurement you want to round into. put fld "field" into tMeasurement --round that measurement either way-- put round(tMeasurement*16,0) / 16 into theFinalMeasurement --check if the result is less than or...

Re: Set image correctly

Or dummy image and field off visible screen that moves to onscreen and set the contents of the field and the image to be the same as the image you want to show. put "x,y,z, whatever" into fld "msi" and for the image there will be some way of setting the properties of the image to match another image...

Try this: global arrayNumbers global targetNumber on mouseUp initialise getValue targetNumber search targetNumber, arrayNumbers end mouseUp on initialise put empty into field output put 0 into targetNumber put 45 into arrayNumbers[0] put 65 into arrayNumbers[1] put 23 into arrayNumbers[2] put 67 int...

Re: Change all values of Elements in Key of Array

Danke Klaus! here's the code I ended up using to change the date in each line from dd/mm/yyyy to yyyy/mm/dd put the dgdata of group "Accounts" into theDataA --put into array put the keys of theDataA into tKeys set the itemdelimiter to "/" repeat for each line tKey in tKeys put theDataA[tKey]["Date"]...

Re: Change all values of Elements in Key of Array

Thanks Craig. I think I have no idea what you just said. However, I managed to get a script written that kind of does what I need it to. But kind of doesn't... on mouseup repeat with x= 1 to the number of fields of group "Accounts" if field x of group "Accounts" contains "/" then set the itemdelimit...

(SOLVED) Change all values of Elements in Key of Array

Hi, I feel like this should be a really straight forwards process, but for the life of me, I can't work out how to get it done! Arrays!!! Ok, I have a database of accounts (SQL), that I am loading into a livecode file and displaying in a datagrid. I have scripted all of the SQL search, change, write...

Re: Constrain Graphic dimensions

Should be a simple maths trick.
How do you want them to be constrained? Do you want the rhombus to resize relative to the text, the text relative to the rhombus, or do you want the rhombus to change shape (be wider) so the text fits in the rhombus?
