That lesson unfortunately only deals with getting the content of one specific column.
So it wouldn't be possible to loop through to split each column out to its own array, one at a time? I'll tinker while waiting heh.

Re: Can't get data from a Data Grid

Someone please remind us both where the "alternate" dictionary is. I am not at my normal computer, and do not have the URL here. Assuming you didn't mean Tiny Dictionary (which Klaus helpfully linked too, and is the quickest I know of), I'm thinking you might be looking for Milby's online one here ...

Re: Can't get data from a Data Grid

Did you actually read the article, or just read the title and presume it answered my question? If I (and I think most others) link it, most likely we also read it. In particular, I thought this section of it pertained to your question: Getting Data In A Column Behavior (Last section of the article)...

Re: Can't get data from a Data Grid

I looked but couldn't find one. Hmmmmm.... you mean this? how-do-i-get-data-associated-with-a-row-or-column ... There is a lot of stuff about the dg right in the lessons under LiveCode LessonsData GridLiveCode Data Grid , and I believe most of that is now in the guide, which has a tab in the dictio...

Re: Datagram memory issue

That is ok, I'm not sure your the real Klaus! We all know how easy it would be to copy your name (if you were the real Klaus!!), and yet, you yourself misspelled it  ItIsKlausDangit.png I wonder if you need to go back to all the threads your name got misspelled in and apologize! :P

Re: Can't get data from a Data Grid

dgdataofline[linenumber] returns an ARRAY, which we cannot just put anyhwere for display without processing... While that is true, the processing isn't exactly all that monumental :D It could be as simple as (depending on how much stuff your dealing with) // ....previous code in handler put the dgD...

Re: Terminating an audioclip

You'd think so, wouldn't you? I find lots of interesting differences in the various versions, for instance, between 2.2 and 2.3, the script editor menu lost 2 items that were a kind of primitive autocomplete if you will. One menu item had a series of command structures such as "if/then/else" or "sel...

Re: Terminating an audioclip

That is an heritage from the old Metacard days where we did not have player objects I'd love to know when that was! The oldest version of Mc I could find, 2.2 (powered by the Mc 2.5 engine  ) had a player object: MetaCard2-2PlayerObject.png If you still have the stacks for the IDE hanging ...

Re: Terminating an audioclip

Just out of curiosity, where are the abbreviations "ac" and "vc" (for "audioclip" and "videoclip" respectively) documented? Never saw these in the LC 8.10 Dictionary, although I may well be wrong. I may be speaking out of turn as Klaus hasn't answered yet, but I don't think you will find those in t...

Re: Circular Audio Progress bar

LOL! I was playing around with this myself just before stopping in here . I have even bigger questions about it! (Mind you, I had to fire up a Win vm just to play with this at all, it will take weeks to get the taste out of my mouth I'm sure :P :P ) Anyway, I was thinking in simple terms (my usual s...

Re: Circular Audio Progress bar

Couple observations for dpalmersce to make note of here - 25 * Richmond's solution and my solution are both forms of what Klaus was talking about. 25 * If you use Richmond's code directly, I'd suggest either sticking a 'wait with messages' line into the end of the repeat, or, better yet, calling a c...

Re: Circular Audio Progress bar

Is this "15 minutes of LC" something you put together? Yah, I mentioned it briefly in the 'basic tutorial thread' in this post . I thought it might be better to separate it from people who subscribe to my other channel (I'm still not sure why people subscribe to the other one  ). Anyhoo, you...

Re: Circular Audio Progress bar

You probably couldn't do better than -hh's stack, but just to give you the 'quick sample' you asked about from Klaus's explanation, here is a way to create a simple progress circle (YouTube). Ultimately how the progress circle looks is only limited by your imagination, it could look like anything yo...
