Re: Using Navigator with LiveCode: Documentation and Videos

Well, I'm currently resurrecting (and mostly using) Mc Oss v3 and 4 with the Lc 6.0.1 and up to about 6.7.11 engines, while at the same time trying to make it compatible with Lc 7.x to current. I don't have any versions of Lc older than 6.0.1, but use 6.5.2 the most, so thats what I'd be shooting fo...

Re: setting default behavior of buttons

The project consists of dozens of stacks. As I said, I could see it in this type of complex situation, you have a lot of stacks, probably other main stacks as well, and want to relegate the behavior to one location to change things. In a project that isn't very complex, say with one mainstack, even...

Re: Android .obb expansion files??

You probably refer to the dutch guy named "Sinter Klaas", right? See above how THAT Is spelled, mate! Yes, but you told me to only quip in German, so I had to alter the spelling to suit your... erm, situation  You really do resemble Sinter Klaas after all, distributing code and corrections to ...

Re: is there a sound editor developed with runrev ?

Hmm. While he may have been the author, I sure don't remember seeing japanese characters around it. I think I need to have Sinter Klausen smack me in the head a few more times to recalibrate me brain waves... *Edit - I think it could have been either Thierry's, or the one from blue mango, but...

Better to ADD letters rather than drop them, eh Klausimausi?
I agree, from here on out, I will deficiently refer to you only as Sinter Klausen! After all, NO ONE could forget Sinter Klausen !! :P

< Ears perking >Going quickly to take a look :)

That is pretty slick indeed. Is there a minimum version it works with?

Re: setting default behavior of buttons

I see. For me, I think it would have to be doing more than a few things to be able to cover that, since you have to add the event handlers anyway, if you see what I mean. If it got that complicated, I'd probably relegate it to a function and call that. I'm not saying the above is right, or correct, ...

Apologies for the misspelling of your name Klaus.
I'm surprised he even noticed it, as many times as his name has been misspelled. Honestly Klaus, if you dropped 2 or 3 letters, you'd get better results (remembering that one thread we all had so much fun with your name in)

Re: setting default behavior of buttons

Ok, now I am curious, what exactly would be the advantage of doing something like that, looping over all the controls, using a master control, to just putting it all in one event? Is it just to cut down on having to code the other possible events?

Re: Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1

Well, while I do have a machine that is older than that (mac plus, circa '87, '88?), I finally stopped pulling that one out and started running os9 in a sheephaver vm, as seen in this thread . It runs better than the original, and far better than the internet archive version, but not as good as nati...

Re: setting default behavior of buttons

well, you could do something like this instead (no master anything required) on mouseEnter if the abbreviated name of the target contains "button" then set the backgroundcolor of the target to "yellow" end mouseEnter If you get into more complicated areas where you need the mouseEnter later, you can...

Re: Permissions error on save with Studio 2.8.1

I can't imagine, I got Mc starter kit running on all kinds of stuff from windows to solaris, but I couldn't get it to do anything on Osx (Os 9 completely different story, runs like a champ there!). It really strikes me odd too, since (from my understanding) Osx is a bsd variant, and I have Mc runnin...

Re: Android .obb expansion files??

I think your up to the challenge, just like anything else the more you practice with it, the closer you get to the 'ah HA' moment.

Sure wish I had some advice for this situation, but I haven't messed with video or mobile at all.
