Re: "Answer file" crashes in windows xp

I don't run XP except for testing in a vm. I found this intriguing enough to go ahead and test it myself, and it certainly looks like a bug to me . Re: Is livecode dead?

What Max described is actually the work plan. But if you manage projects of this complexity you'll appreciate the deviations that sometimes occur with any plan. Ah well :) Understandable, anyway. His observation on the Downloads page is, IMO, spot-on. ... In fact, I felt so strongly about it I did ...

Re: Why do so few schools try LiveCode...?

You must have forgotten the year-long marketing effort a few years ago where education was the primary push. The one that resulted in Scotland putting LC in all schools across the country to be taught as a first programming language. I am actually really interested in the above underlined, since th...

They do listen. They just don't always agree.
I have said that very same thing to my mother many times when she would say it didn't seem like I was listening. I always 'listened', I just didn't always agree with what was said.

But the really terrifying part is that the 9 year old is probably pushing 40 now.
Makes you wonder what that 'kid' is doing now, don't it?

Re: Is livecode dead?

Yes, exactly so. I guess the only question is, when do you consider it as not released?

Although, Lc would not fall into this category in any case.

Re: Is livecode dead?

Duke Nukem 4 .. It did eventually get released though.. Heh, after 4 years of waiting for it, all I could remember was the title, "Duke Nukem Forever", and the only reason I remembered that was because it seemed like that was how long it was going to take to ever see it come to fruition :P Apparent...

Re: Is livecode dead?

Nowdays the general perception is livecode = vaporware LiveCode exists. I'm using it right now. . I don't think "vaporware" means what you think it means. That would be a pretty broad statement Max, and incorrect assumption ("the general perception", after all, would require more than just an opini...
