Re: ios keyboard popping up

HTML5 standalones are not (really) made for mobile. So I have only very few experiences with very simple tests. Did you already try the following? on mouseUp focus on nothing -- your code on mouseUp I tried this at the card level and button level and in both cases, on a tablet, the keyboard popped ...

Wrappers and spinners

Hi All Two questions here, but first of all, whoever decided to enable HTML5 testing from within Livecode is a genius :-) It is such a time saving function. Thank you so much. Question 1. Has anyone had success with inserting a Livecode program into Joomla using a iFrame Wrapper. I saw the discussio...

Re: HTML5 build and Wix

Thank you for your replies. I've decided that I will use a bit of space that I have with my service provider to house the app and link to it from Wix. Not ideal, but it doesn't seem to be a perfect world!! ;-) I'll see how I go playing with a bit of html to knock up a test site.

Cheers

Re: HTML5 build and Wix

Thanks Hermann for your reply. I’ve read through the HTML5 Deployment guides and used your code and pasted it into a ‘Code’ element in my ‘Wix site’. I did get a result - of the text in the html code - but nothing else. As you can tell, this is foreign to me, but it is obvious that I am missing some...

HTML5 build and Wix

Hi Everyone A question regarding using a html5 build in the web development program called Wix. I have a number of training programs written in LiveCode that have been installed in a website that is managed by a company. Therefore I have not been involved in installing these programs into the site. ...

Re: Browser problems?

Ahhh, thanks -hh Hmmm, now the next question is how do I set up a local server on a Mac. I haven't needed to do this before, and I can't seem to find references to do this on a Mac (I did see one for windows though). Hopefully this isn't too difficult, as it is critical that these programs are teste...

Browser problems?

Hi All Has anyone noticed that there is a problem running HTML5 programs lately? Yesterday I went to upgrade a web based program and found that when I tested it (from the desktop) it did not load (I have used it for over a year, so I know that the program works). I was using Safari, so I tried Googl...

Bold text

Hi Everyone

I am using the line

set the textStyle of item 1 of line tBoldLineCount of field "Result" to bold

This works as expected in a standalone and the text is bold; but in a HTML5 build, the text is not bold.

Is this a 'feature' of HTML5 still, or is there a work around.

Regards

Greg

Re: Metronome and Button clicks

Thanks -hh I appreciate the time you have put into explaining this, as I’m sure are all the many other people who have read this thread. From your suggestions, I have what I was after for my metronome and 'other buttons': and a far better understanding of what was going on. Again, many thanks. Cheer...

Re: Metronome and Button clicks

Thanks -hh

No, I haven't tried that. I'll have a play around with it and perhaps change how the user interacts with the metronome and other actions. From what you say, if other commands can be executed quickly, then the interruption, either won't occur, or won't be seen?

Cheers

Re: Metronome and Button clicks

Thank you -hh for taking the time to provide such a brilliant example and explanation. I’ve looked closely at your stack and learnt from it. However, when I use this code in my stack, I still get a pause in the metronome when I click another button. The 'other' button is sorting a list of words and ...

Re: Metronome and Button clicks

Thank you -hh for replying. My apologies for forgetting that not everyone can read my mind!! This is the script in the button to start and stop the metronome. The speed is set by the variable tSpeed on mouseup set the cSwitch of me to not (the cSwitch of me is true) -- to start or stop the metronome...
