Re: What mobile network is available and/or active?

Only way I was able to do it was via this method.

http://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.ph ... 45#p127253

If tells me if the user if connected via a 3G connection if not then they are on a active WIFI connection.

Has proved useful and reliable for a few projects.

Re: Taking a photo without native controls

Hi Neil,

I wasn't aware there were extra functions in the commercial version of live code, that will explain why I could not get it to work.

Re: Associating a file type with an app

The only way I have ever been able to get this to work is via a HTML URL link does not seem to work in email applications unless you have a webpage that does a instant redirect to your URL scheme.

I have been trying to place a entry into the android manifest file as I have a MDM that requires the app to have a <application android:name="App name", but when this entry is inserted the app crashes on every device I have tried to run it on. Supprised the support for android is so little on livecode considering android has a 76% market share. And there doesn't ever seem to be much activity of this forum compared to the IOS thread. Re: Tablet goes to sleep, half of app disappears

If you have a look at this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTiYWZs9erk It seems to be caused on my devices by the lock screen or any other app that changes the device to a different orientation while the app is running in the background. Then once you enter the app it still thinks the...
