Field Validation of Input

I've got several instances of fields where I want to validate the data to insure that no special characters are being used. Currently, I am using the itemdelimiter to test for them, but I know there has to be better way of doing this. I'm just calling the second item to verify that there isn't one. ...

Re: Is there a standard place to store databases

Ok. Cool. Thanks. Is that a safe location from inadvertent deletion or tampering? Just curious.

Is there a standard place to store databases

I'm creating an application that I want to deploy initially on a PC that will install/create a SQLite local database on the machine. Eventually I want to deploy all of this on different devices, MAC, and mobile devices. I was wondering where you guys typically store the database for these machines a...

Sorry, I've been away for a while. This is the link to the tutorial. I was just wondering if they had a more in depth version. I thought they did a while back but all I see now is the lessons on for cloud.

SQLite tutorial class

Does anyone know if Livecode offers a SQLite tutorial class similar to the LIVECODE UNIVERSITY? I saw the one on the cloud, but I want to use an in app database if possible. I thought I saw a class a long time ago on their website, but I couldn't find it.

Could you explain what you did there? I need to be able to modify the text via a variable as well as the size and location.

Field rotate

I'm creating a few graphs but I can't seem to figure out how to rotate fields 90 Degrees in order to display x axis names. The names must be variables and thus can't be just a standard image, but I can't seem to be able to do this. Help?

Re: Scrolling Group

Klaus: That worked, but it doesn't scroll the whole distance down the group. It only goes approximately a quarter of the way. When you try to move it further by going to the top of the group again (moving the cursor outside of the range of the group going to the top) and swipe down more it pops back...

Scrolling Group

Not exactly sure what is causing this issue, but I'm trying to use the standard method of creating a scrolling group by using the mousedown and mouseup handlers on a group. I tried setting this on a stack level command worked for the horizontal, but it isn't actually scrolling, its just moving an ob...

Re: Adding Objects To Groups

I can't just add an object to a group, it must be copied to that group? Wouldn't that then require me to delete the original control?

Re: Adding Objects To Groups

Ok I'm going to try resurrecting this post. How do you add an object to group using script outside of creating the button within the said group?

Re: N-Tier Application Development

Thank you for the detailed response. I'm a little new to all this, but I want to maintain the status quo for security on application with the industry as well as make updating the UI simple and quick. I don't want to have to update a whole bunch of statistical sql code in order to change a few minor...
