Re: Launched stack does not keep all changes

Hoi Klaus, Tried the 'answer the result' statement direct after save this stack And the result is empty (see attached screenshot)! So it seems that all has gone well. However if I shutdown the application and start it up again the cards are gone ... If I add only one card the stack remembers this ca...

Re: Launched stack does not keep all changes

Hi Klaus,

I did what you suggested but still the same result :? (see attached printscreen of folder).

It is in Dutch but as you can see it is a subfolder in my documents folder (D:\User Folders\Documents\Launcher3).

Regards,

Paul

Launched stack does not keep all changes

Hope someone can help me with the next problem I encounter. I am working on an application that adds cards within a stack (see post http://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25353) I have got everything working fine and I use a launcher to start the application ( http://lessons.runrev.com/s/les...

Re: Cloning a template card with code

Tried the following:

Code: Select all

 clone card "Template"
set the name of card "Template" of this stack to thenewcardname
This works. It probably changes the first card it finds that is named Template but that does not matter because they are clones anyway.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Cloning a template card with code

Clone the card and then set the name of 'the last card of this stack' to whatever you want to call it... :-) I already tried this and it does change a card name but unfortunately it does not change the correct card but another card already existing :( . I used the statement: 'set the name of the la...

Cloning a template card with code

I am trying to clone a card I use as a template to a new card with a new name. And I also need to delete a card of which I know the name I use the code: clone card "Template" And this works but the name of the clone is identical to the original (duhh  ). After cloning I do not know which card...

Re: Graphic in scrolling list field disappears

I could not find a reliable way to find out the top and bottom line number in view while scrolling for redrawing the images to save memory. I now create a new image for each chat and that works fine with scrolling. It would have been nice if it were possible to have a field property in which I can s...

Re: Graphic in scrolling list field disappears

The reason the img dissapears is because the character that it is linked to leaves the viewport, so the engine stops rendering it. The same happens with groups, for the same reason. If you want to get around this problem, you can us a cheater method. Use a separate scroll bar, mask off your viewing...

Re: Why does shell with attrib does not work?

Theres another thing I do on windows that makes things easier.. put shortfilepath("D:\test folder\subfolder") into tPath at which point tPath has the old style 8.3 no spaces path to the file. merge can be pretty helpful too. If you have this string saved.. "attrib +h [[tPath]]" in a variable named ...

Re: Graphic in scrolling list field disappears

Hi Paul what exactly did you try? This is a nifty trick and surely works, if applied correctly :D Best Klaus Hi Klaus I tried to follow the lesson How to scrol a card that is taller or wider than the window. http://lessons.runrev.com/m/4071/l/11788-how-do-i-scroll-a-card-that-is-taller-or-wider-tha...
