Re: Scale to Window

You could try the scaleFactor option (only for mac, windows, Linux ,see dictionary)

Code: Select all

-- scales the stack to half size
set the scaleFactor of stack "myLargeStack" to 0.5

Re: Accessing JSON output

Also take a look at Andy's brand new post on a JSON plugin for this purpose (JSON Api Helper plugin).
The code will also help to learn about JSON and Arrays.

Re: JSON Api Helper plugin

Really nice work Andy :D

I can certainly use this because I also work with JSON data in my current application.
I will probably modify it a bit to also handle any Array and not only an array generated from a JSON file.

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Replace LiveCode Script with JavaScript, forever

Thanks mrcoollion! i cannot expect that my users install python and the needed libraries. There is a portable version of Python available. This makes it possible for you to add the portable python version to your own application install. E.g. https://www.pythonanywhere.com/ This way your user will ...

Re: Replace LiveCode Script with JavaScript, forever

On Windows, it is pretty easy to run Python scripts. Just install Python for Windows https://www.python.org/downloads/windows/ Use Shell to execute a python script like this ( put the script in a button and put print ("Hello world") into the script ). on mouseUp -- put "c:\Python33\python c:\Python3...

Re: IDE Lockups 9.6.0 on Mac

I had a similar problem (saving message window does not disappear) last week when I was experimenting with a DataGrid in a further empty stack. Maybe this helps?

I am working with LC 9.6 rc2 on Windows 10.
You are working with what version of LC and on what platform?

Re: LiveCode Popup modal Window

Maybe you could trick the situation with generating a PrintScreen and placing it as a background in the Modal Windows Stack?
Just an idea....

In terms of the scrollbar, I created one quite easily, but thanks for the example! And, I think mine looks nicer than the one that was included. So, again, a win.
So let us learn and share a stack with your scrollbar .. :D

Take a look at: http://lessons.livecode.com/m/2571/l/62 ... oid-studio

This might help to set things up the correct way if you have not already done so.

Re: New Video : Lets hack the LiveCode IDE with a plugin

Hi Linda, Here are the stack(s). Yes I made two. 'Hack_LC_IDE_01.livecode' is for development and the MenuHack01_Run.livecode is for in the externals/plugin folder. The only difference is that in the run version at the preOpenStack part I make the stack invisible and the stack also closes itself aft...
