Re: revigniter removing index.lc from URL

Hi,

A couple of years ago, having to build a couple of complex web sites including mine,
I found the ebook .htaccess made easy very much helpful.

https://htaccessbook.com

I'm just a happy reader of this ebook, nothing more.

Re: Email question.

You may also use tsNetSmtpSync if you do not want to use the users client mail application but need to send it directly via a server. +1 It's a beautiful add-on to LC. I've managed in no time - almost :) to build a complete email-sender completely in LC, and it's part of my business tools. Regards,...

Any ideas?
Might be that the new version has some AI process which creates some synapses connection
labelled "bogs-L4D2" which of course is quite scary:)

More seriously, it works for me too, but that's not a proof.

Re: Enhanced "combine" command

Thierry once told me I should respect him because he is older than me. (Not sure by how much but it can't be that many years.) Sparkout, I am really that old as I don't remember me saying that :) I respect practically everybody. I admire Thierry. Lol, please don't. I only have a long background wit...

Re: Convert scientific notation to decimal?

I'm looking for a way to convert a number represented in scientific notation such as "9.0260588394524e-5 " to a more human readable decimal format. Is there a function for this in LC? Hi ClipArtGuy, check format() in the dictionary. put "9.0260588394524e-5" into X put format( "%s to floating point:...

Glad that you find it useful.

And "gadget", as I define it, is strictly my own definition.
No worries.
As a non native English speaker,
I could tell you so many little stories which were a bit embarrassing for me
and funny afterwards :)

Re: about 'local X = empty' statement

As noted in the comments to but 19413, this isn't actually a bug, but the confluence of a few things. bug or not bug and adding to this that the Script Editor is a bit silent,; this is a real pain, for starters or not  For starters, while assigning values to local variables at declaration ...

"Gadget" is anything (not anyone) that is small, beautiful, and has class and character. Oops, another word so-called 'false friends' in French: qui séduit par son caractère nouveau et original, mais qui n'est pas d'une grande utilité As you might see, this have a 'useless' meaning in my cou...

Re: Enhanced "combine" command

All this is doable. No argument. But it surely has to be admitted that the enhanced command is cleaner and more accessible. The delimiters live in that single line. There is a bit more work required to set them up in Thierry's gadget. gadget? So here is a variant, where you can call the fun...
