Re: Close opensockets after 30 sec

is there any way to close open sockets after 30 sec? socket timeout does not work because I want to kill the opensocket whatever datas will be transfered. Hi Stef, socket timeout won't do what you're looking at. I believe you want this one: close socket socketID And to do it after 30 seconds (pseud...

Re: A code to destroy the value of a variable

Hi Linda,

Not sure to understand, but in case what you called your app
is a stack you're executing in the IDE, then you have nothing to do except
uncheck "Variable Preservation" in the IDE Preferences:

Re: Update SQL Query

.... The more complex an application becomes, the more you will be happy having enforced such rule. Many problems will just never appear. This is my private strong opinion. Also, this forces discipline in naming and using a consistent naming schema and forces to rethink. Bad naming leads to bad thi...

Re: mySQL install: which password setting works with LC

You might consider creating your root user with the strongest password ..... Thanks for your answer, and yes, I'm aware of this. My question was related to the settings during mySql server install: about the new 2 passwords encryption option, you can read (see picture in the OP ) that some clients ...

mySQL install: which password setting works with LC

Hi all,

mySQL 8.0.20-community on MacOS Mojave.

During the installation,
they ask to choose between a strong or legacy encryption.

Do the 2 options work with LC 9 ? if not, which one ?

Thanks

Re: Shared Hosting

For how helpful it could be here is my experience a couple of years ago: I have a shared hosting at a low price. Via ssh and terminal I upload the zip LC server on my host, unzip and add 3 or 4 lines in .htaccess file, and it just works. I did some successful tests at this time, and didn't see any ...

Re: Shared Hosting

After reflecting on the impression of Eddie's experience and needs, I would say it's a good start to use the hostm package mentioned which will be a nice price to begin with and has the features needed (or handy - LC Community Server preinstalled and maintained) but can also be scaled up in future ...

How do I add a picture to this to post?
The icon above shows a picture but does not give me the facility to add a picture.
Hi,
Guess you need 10 posts to be able to do this, same as writing Urls.

Best,

Re: Why Script-only stacks?

Thanks Thierry, I have got some reading to do... :D Sure :) I went down this road... Next step is to try to add a new feature in the IDE or correct a bug... If you ever jump into it and when you're at ease with this environment, I'll be happy to exchange with you in private. Have a nice day, Thierry
