I can't get it back to the "default/none" back slash option.
Right-click -> Reset to default

Re: Cannot add stack in Standalone Application settings

I can add sunnYrex library to any other stack in the Standalone Application Settings, and sunnYrex shows up in the list of stacks on the left, as expected. When using a particular mainstack , LC allows me to open sunnYrex through the Standalone settings, but it then does not show up in the list of ...

Re: Cannot add stack in Standalone Application settings

I am using LC 9.0.5rc1 on Mac. I am trying to add a stack that I have added before to include in a Standalone. Any ideas please? Hi Kaveh, I'm sorry I have no ideas, but please, understand that sunnYrex is just a stack, a small stack with some scripts which does nothing except when you call one fun...

Re: Implementing full regex in LiveCode

So I have produced a test stack, attached. There are 5000 line to change in the top field (4998 unique). This takes some 10 seconds on LiveCode. In BBEdit, using (\d+)([A-Z]+) > \2 \1 it is instantaneous (less than 1/4 sec I estimate). Regex is fast!! So the challenge is how to make this faster. Lo...

Re: Importing data from Google Sheets (problem with returns in cells) [wrong attachment, now updated]

Can anyone help me get clean data into LiveCode? thanks. Hi Kaveh, As you have reported 2 interesting bugs in sunnYrex last week, you win half an hour of my rainy sunday morning time and here is the result: A proof of concept and a working 20 lines of pure Livecode with a couple of regex. Screensho...

Re: OpenStack not runnning

I don't know if this applies in your case, but if you close a stack and destroystack is false, the stack remains in RAM. Not relevant in this case. However, doing few manipulations with LC, I managed to fire an error in revdebuglibrary, on __Resolved function Line 1957 Looks like something as ghost...

Re: What is the opposite of launch?

There's no direct way to 'cleanly' close a running macOS app - but applescript can be used.... Here is how I do that in one of my LC tutorial: try get shell(format( \ "osascript -e 'tell application \"MidiKeys\" to quit'")) get shell(format( \ "osascript -e 'tell application \"MIDIMonitor.app\" to ...

Hi Greg,

I believe if you're looking in the dictionary for
textEncode() and textDecode() that will make you happy...

Re: Easier way to do this? Find variables in text

Here is a minimal stack that does the job using regex Hi Kaveh, If you don't mind, here is a slightly optimized and less verbose version of your code: on mouseup local tOriginal, tResult put fld "Original" into tOriginal repeat forever if not matchChunk(tOriginal, "@{(.+?)}", tStart, tEnd) then exi...

Re: Easier way to do this? Find variables in text

I wonder if anyone will pop in with the ultimate regex solution, cause that is the only thing I think we haven't covered so far in normal use. Hi bogs, Here is one: if sunnYextract( theText, "(?m)@\{(\w+)}", "\1\n", R) then put R and, of course if you have such a text as an input (theText): "xxx @{...

Re: Help in refactoring code

I am indeed using Mark's generous gift to the community to rename clean up, move handlers, etc. But it is not doing what I am asking for. Perhaps Mark has a suggestion? Therefore, I kindly suggest to get in touch with Mark who, if my memory is fine, is more active on the user's list. and show him p...

I don't know that I am qualified to assume the go-to mantle here, but AFAIK: Hi Sparkout, Everyone is the hero of someone or about something... :D Thanks for your comment, makes sense. Interesting, when I started working on Simon's problem, the google answer had wrong characters f...

Re: textEncode and Google Forms

get IT & "Accept-Language: fr-FR" & CRLF get IT & "Content-Language: fr-FR" & CRLF Simon, I've played a bit with my code and it still works getting rid of these 2 lines of script but keeping the Content-type settings. Otherwise, I wouldn't follow you on the generic form. I believe it's more complic...
