one window to rule them all
Hi
I'm new to livecode but I'm working well and I like it.
Just one question.
After some minutes of working my desktop is full of livecode's windows everywhere and I feel totally out of control
There's a way to have a single window to work on like any other professional IDE ?

Re: screen dimensions... cm
Hi,
I may be wrong, but from the dimensions you have given it looks like you are making a project for mobile devices.
Yes but not only
I have to make an app that works on win, linux, maybe mac, iPhone and Android (at least some models) and I hope to not have to reworks dimensions for every ...

Re: screen dimensions... cm
Hi Mylord,
...But I haven't found a way to set mm or cm for dimensions
There's a way to do that?
No, since everything on the monitor and in Livecode is measured in pixel, this is not possible!
You would always need to convert DPI/cm/mm into pixels to use it in Livecode 8)
Best
Klaus
Thanks ...

Re: [Solved] installing behind proxy
Dear Lordmax,
I'm glad you managed to activate LiveCode :)
:D :D :D
The licence file in the lesson was named for the most recent version of LiveCode (6.0.1) and this would explain why it would not work with your 6.0.0 version.
I would also recommend upgrading to 6.0.1 as there have been ...

Re: installing behind proxy
GREAT!!!
It works!
I had to create the lic file named "livecode-community-6_0_0-1511" and then it started
Really hard to find the right version.

Re: I want to clear up some things regarding LC and GPL
Hi lordmax,
Thank you so much for the info. It has made me rethink my approach to client-server logic.
5. On the page comparing the difference between Commercial and Community, it states that in the Community edition, "Hide your apps' source code" is not available. My question is; what's to ...
