Re: Requesting feedback on new docs for dbLib
Hi Matthias, Oops, fon.nu has been deactivated for some time. I just removed it from my signature. Thanks for pointing out. As you mentioned the GPL and the Commercial libraries are exactly the same. The only change is the license. Depending on what you're doing you can go with GPL. Feel free to rea...

Requesting feedback on new docs for dbLib
Hey Friends, I've been working on a new release for dbLib for a while and part of it is producing better documentation. Even though it is not yet complete, I think that the new documentation is good and it might already be valuable for people here as it applies to the current release. I'd be keen to...

Re: [ANN] vCard & iCalendar library
That is extremely generous, Andre! @bogs, Thanks a lot for the kind words :D This library will be used in the next update to the "Livecode Advanced Application Architectures" book. So it was only fair that I update it. I find vObject to be such a versatile standard. I wish I had more uses for it. P...

[ANN] vCard & iCalendar library
Hi Friends, I am in the process of updating my LiveCode book (http://andregarzia.com/livecode/#livecode-advanced-application-architecture). The demo application for the book is an Address Book stack and while I was writing the "libraries" chapter, I remembered that long ago, I wrote an vCard/iCalend...

Re: [New Book] LiveCode Advanced Application Architecture
I would have liked some chapter that had talked about the printing. It is very easy to print with Filemaker, at least for me, but very complex with LiveCode. Hi Carles, Thanks for the kind words. I think that printing is a very good subject but to be honest, I never did it. In about 14 years of Liv...

Re: [New Book] LiveCode Advanced Application Architecture
Hi Peter, Does DB lib Support Remote MySQL? Yes it does, it is just a wrapper around RevDB, so as long as RevDB can connect, DB Lib can be used. Be aware though that it is not safe to expose MySQL to the larger Internet like this. It is too large a risk. This is the reason why I created the "Remote ...

Re: [ANN] Remote DB Lib
Brian,
I like your idea. I initially separated them because I envisioned doing much more refactoring to enable it to work like I wanted. Maybe I should merge them again. I will do some tests here. Thanks a lot for the feedback. I will implement new functions such as your glob one too.
Cheers
