Re: A game to fill out "knowledge trees"
Al, Agree on the value of compression and of encryption! If we keep to a scale-free standard pattern for visualizing trails, individual trees, and parts of trees, I hope it can ease the task of efficiently adding (or changing), storing, and retrieving data. Below is a possible set of feedback button...

Re: Creating LiveCode applications that play well with git
Mikey, I'd love to see a single stack from which one could manage the interactions with Github. It could be a Levure 2.0 stack. Or it could be part of the "Workbench" tool I mentioned in another thread that an open source project manager could fill in with goodies useful to a distributed team of con...

Re: Is there a way to search for D3.js posts on the forum?
Many thanks, Gurgen! It looks like a big advance for LiveCode visualizations. Todd mentioned in the Facebook LiveCode Users group that an interactive D3 example stack is in the works. Can you share it here when it is ready? Also, recent posts in the Forum thread on Github and Livecode integration ha...

Re: Creating LiveCode applications that play well with git
Mikey, Can these tools also be called by LiveCode scripts, and send back an interactive diagram? In a D3 thread on the Facebook LiveCode User group, Todd mentioned plans to share a sample stack by Digital Pomegranate with this capability. Gurgen, can you post a link in this thread once it is ready? ...

Re: Creating LiveCode applications that play well with git
GitWorkflow-DynamicGraph.png Trevor, Have been working in recent days on a parallel project –- look forward to retrying the Levure install based on your suggestions. I'd love to see LiveCode projects integrate by default with Github in the future! Could Levure include a workflow dashboard at some s...

Re: Does a workbench stack exist for open source projects?
Richard, Thanks – it's working beautifully now in Livecode Community 8.0. What a wonderful resource! Another miracle... it is appearing as well when I launch LC 9.0. The only issue is that no pane is visible when I try Livecode-Preferences. Is this a known issue for the latest two builds? Best, Mark

Re: Does a workbench stack exist for open source projects?
Richard, Had no luck in Livecode Community 9.0.0 (latest build) even in getting the Livecode-Preferences or the Development-Plugins-Settings to open, after downloading and putting the Devolution plugins in the right place. I relaunched and no change. Then I tried opening in Livecode Community 8.0 (d...

Re: Does a workbench stack exist for open source projects?
Richard, The https://fourthworld.com/products/devolution/index.html site is a wonderful discovery! >>just download it, put it in your LiveCode Plugins folder, and give it a go. Quick question – is there a special place I should look to find any existing Livecode plugins folder? I did a search but no...

Does a workbench stack exist for open source projects?
While gathering notes, button scripts, graphics etc for a new open source project, I found myself longing for a stack that could keep everything in easy reach. The first card would contain a Table of Contents navigation table with tabbed view options of the stack's contents. On openstack, a datagrid...

Is there a way to search for D3.js posts on the forum?
When I try to search the forums on ways to embed D3.js animations in Livecode stacks, an error comes back saying that the "D3.js" string is too short. Is there a way around this limitation?
Appreciate any help!
Best,
Mark

Re: Livecode University + Teachur.co for blockchain certs?
Jacque,
Many thanks for the suggestion. I've just emailed to support@Livecode.com, with a cc: to the founders of Teachur (Ben Blair and Josh Stanley).
Will post an update here, as and when there's is news to share.
Best,
Mark

Re: Creating an outliner application - Any ideas?
Mats, I've downloaded the latest version of rTree, and installed it on a stack via the Message box. The rTree field shows up, and when I right click it raises hope of being able to import a .txt file on my drive (one with tab indents for an outliner view of the contents). Yet rTree shows all of the ...

Re: Livecode University + Teachur.co for blockchain certs?
This excerpt from a new essay by Don and Alexander Tapscott fills in more about the opportunity for Blockchain-registered certs. If Livecode University were interested in exploring a project with Teachur for this, I'd be glad to help fund microscholarships for several students in developing countrie...

Livecode University + Teachur.co for blockchain certs?
A few months ago, I came across http://www.Teachur.co – a blockchain-based venture with an intriguing business model. It is offering a platform for course providers to convert their online learning resources into fine-grained modules, available for free to anyone in the world. Each module, however, ...
