Anyone have a work around or fix for distortion of gifs with an alpha channel? I have a 3 frame gif. Any frame with an alpha channel will change colors like from blue to red unexpectedly. On iOS the frame actually inverts.

This was on android using 4.6.2. Any ideas on a solution or work around?

I compiled an app with a stack background image. The image color changed from blue to tan. Any ideas?

I must have missed something. No matter what setting I make, the sim 2.3.3 or 3.1 always displays in a portrait format. Please help.

Success: I uninstalled the android sdk including the avds and reinstalled in a different directory. Now I can test in the sim.

Do you need to sign an app just to test in the sim? I now have the full license of the Android deployment pack and have relicensed, but still get the message "Unable to build app for testing: apk preparation failed."

I have a simple test app with a freehand polygon that rotates. It works fine in the IDE but will not rotate on the iOS iphone or ipad sim. I tried using copy files to copy the revlibrary.rev, but no go. I did notice that the only version of revlibrary.rev I could find on my MAC was in a 4.0.0 folder...

I am having the same problem as in the original post. I do not have license yet for Android but do have one for Win/Mac and iOS. I was able to build a sample app a few weeks ago, but not now.

Anyone know why an animated GIF frame would display inverted on the simulator? Works fine on the MAC in the IDE.

Does anyone know how to run a Lua Script from LiveCode?

I have Lua installed, but it does not show up as an alternate language on a Windows 7 machine. Any ideas on how to install so that is seen as active?

Thanks. I thought it should be simple. It worked once I added ID to the image number.

Can you copy the image of an existing image control into another image control using code? I tried setting the ImageData, but the result was garbled.

Thank you for your help. I went through the tutorial and everything seems to work ok. The emulator does seem to lag a bit compared to the iOS emulator. Also, standard rectangular buttons appear unattractive (i.e. out of date). Are these native? I know they can be skinned with custom icons. Any other...

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I am using a MacBookPro. How did you install and setup the Android SDK and Java JDK? I must have missed a step.
