Re: Forum unable to deal with spam
Folks, the rumours of the death of this forum have been greatly exaggerated. There is indeed a vast wealth of information here which we will go to considerable lengths to preserve. There was a relatively small, in the scheme of things, spamming incident which seems to have been successfully dealt wi...

Re: Forum unable to deal with spam
Hi Stam The issue with the recent spam incidents is these mails are almost certainly sent by humans, not bots. This is very difficult to prevent. However, as of now I believe they have all been cleaned, I'll keep an eye on things for a while and consider what other measures can be taken. Best Regard...

Re: Forum behaviour change?
Unfortunately this is a change in the forum behavior yes. At present it is necessary. It is preventing an ongoing ddos attack from taking down the server. This has been ongoing for several weeks with no sign of it letting up, so until it stops or we find another route to prevent the damage, the limi...

The primary improvement in this release is the merging of the internal engines, so that if you are using Classic with...

Re: Free apps badge
Hello Simon, The badge is displayed because the app is free. You are not paying us a percentage on that app. We are considering a mechanism where you can pay some kind of fee to have that badge removed (obviously not based on payments for the app since its free). We'll publish that when its ready. W...

Re: Livecode Create - thoughts?
Hello Stam, Yes the cat is well out of the bag now, we only asked you not to discuss it until we went public :) I think you haven't fully understood what we are offering however. LiveCode Create Native is the new desktop IDE. We're certainly not going only to offer web apps. You will be able to run ...

Re: An event trigger when data is added to a field
Greetings all, Just to clarify why this is the way it is, the word from Mark Waddingham is that a general mechanism to do this would really slow things down because it would trigger a message every time any text was changed in any field. However he does think that a field property could be created t...
