NFC reader for iOS
I posted something about this in the Android thread but I thought I'd post it here. What are the chances of getting Jacqueline's NFC reader stuff cross-platformed to iOS? I want to develop a classroom attendance app for use by my students. I might even have them develop it. I'd have to work Livecode...

Re: NFC Write (and iOS would be nice)
I'd like to revive this discussion: NFC reading on iOS would be very useful. I would like to develop an app to check students into classrooms at my university via an NFC sticker on the door. 95% of them have iPhones so kicking off a discussion on what this might take would be timely

Re: Has the backspace (delete) key issue been solved yet?
I just submitted a bug report. I'm just starting to play around with it. I am going to try and create a pretty comprehensive widget that would take forever in Javascript but I wanted to test some basic "now how do I put that into my web page, again" stuff! I've also heard that MySQL is giving proble...

Re: Has the backspace (delete) key issue been solved yet?
Wow! Thanks for the comprehensive. I guess I'll have to troubleshoot it a little more. I wonder if there's a workaround like checking for keypress and seeing what key it is.

Has the backspace (delete) key issue been solved yet?
Try opening this up with Google Chrome: https://www.dallas.org/cgi-bin/wid/apta ... ntTax.html. Click in any field. You can enter text, but the Delete does not backspace/delete. Still just playing with it right now.

I'm already older. Now I'm working on OLDER! Eeek.

Re: tsNetSmtp on Android Doesn't Work
Hi Allen,
Did you check the "Internet" application permission under standalone settings?
[Me: No]
...oh, if you do that, it will work just fine!
DOH!

Where does this stand? I noticed a thread on PayPal integration. Is that the way to go?

tsNetSmtp on Android Doesn't Work
Livecode version 9.0.1 Minimum Android Version is 7.0 (Nougat) Works on iOS but it doesn't look like it's ever making the connection to the server on an Android phone. I call tsNetInit on PreOpenStack. Returns empty. tsNetSmtp returns empty when done. The "pCallback" is never getting called on Andro...

Re: MergAVCam for Android
I found some sample code from Monte. I'll try to work it into an iOS app just to see if I can scan a code and make the results pop up on a card somewhere. I'm still at the playing around stage. Now what I'd really like is something cross-platform to do NFC or BLE

Re: MergAVCam for Android
Peter, sorry but do you know if there is some test code that will scan a QR code using mergAVCam as it exists today?

Re: MergAVCam for Android
Oh, if you have access to the source, you might be able to confirm that the thing launched successfully. But it would likely have to be done in the external itself. Disclaimer: I've never written an external. Come to think of it, this is my first app in Livecode
