Re: tsNetSmtp on Android Doesn't Work

I'm already older. Now I'm working on OLDER! Eeek.

...so I thought it would be a good idea to go back to writing code :)

Re: tsNetSmtp on Android Doesn't Work

Hi Allen,

Did you check the "Internet" application permission under standalone settings?

[Me: No]

...oh, if you do that, it will work just fine!

DOH!

Re: Livecode with E-Commerce integration

Where does this stand? I noticed a thread on PayPal integration. Is that the way to go?

tsNetSmtp on Android Doesn't Work

Livecode version 9.0.1 Minimum Android Version is 7.0 (Nougat) Works on iOS but it doesn't look like it's ever making the connection to the server on an Android phone. I call tsNetInit on PreOpenStack. Returns empty. tsNetSmtp returns empty when done. The "pCallback" is never getting called on Andro...

Re: MergAVCam for Android

I found some sample code from Monte. I'll try to work it into an iOS app just to see if I can scan a code and make the results pop up on a card somewhere. I'm still at the playing around stage. Now what I'd really like is something cross-platform to do NFC or BLE :)

Re: MergAVCam for Android

Peter, sorry but do you know if there is some test code that will scan a QR code using mergAVCam as it exists today?

Re: HTML5 Active Development?

Currently the environment is "standalone application" and the platform is "HTML5" and the machine is empty.

Re: MergAVCam for Android

Oh, if you have access to the source, you might be able to confirm that the thing launched successfully. But it would likely have to be done in the external itself. Disclaimer: I've never written an external. Come to think of it, this is my first app in Livecode :)

Re: MergAVCam for Android

Yeah, the only way I could immediately think of it is to possibly put some sort of a file in the media directory. But that would be risky. Your way is better.

Re: MergAVCam for Android

Quite alright! How do you confirm that the barcode app is installed? Is there an "exists" something?

Re: HTML5 Active Development?

Ahh... "bugs" v "features" :) .... you can't reproduce all the components in an app. Let me get things finalized maybe today or tomorrow and I'll push the final thing to the webserver and let you know.

Re: secureKeyExists( ) throws error in iOS sim

Yes, it just hangs on iOS too. I backed it out and went to using encrypt and decrypt with a variation on a PIN for the time being.

Re: HTML5 Active Development?

I can see tons of potential here. I need to write a few more "regular" apps and get comfortable with the platform. I'll also say that I was fairly impressed with what I saw. There were bugs but it wasn't unusable.
