Hi Mark,
Someone got ahead of you just after my posting, and we cut a deal before I even looked back at the forum. So sorry.
We'll see how that goes, but I will keep you in mind moving forward.
Thank you.

Scope of script variables on server-side
Hi,
Forgive me if I ought to be able answer my own question, but I feel like I need to ask those who know LiveCode server more than I do.
What is the scope of a "local" script variable on the server-side? Does each user session get its own copy, or is it global to all users?

Bootstrapping and embedding an LC IOS app
Is there any way that one can run an IOS app inside a non-livecode app? Let's say I have an LC-based IOS app that I want to license to a third party, but they do not want their users to download two apps. Their app is NOT an LC app. My understanding is that the custom URL is only between stand-alone...

"new" open source Hypertalk interpreter written in Java!
Anyone heard of OpenXion HyperTalk interpreter in open source form written in Java? The timestamps show that works's been going on even as late as mid-december 2011...
Not quite like Livecode, but it is file-based very interesting indeed:

Re: Simply amazing
Thanks, Mark and Jacque for your responses. Mark, I think you are correct on your assessments and sorry about the discouraged effort on the Eclipse plugin. Perhaps we can revive it in the near future, as I think the server-side .irev files are more like the rest of the platforms/languages like C/C++...

I just wanted to share with you my recent experience with LiveCode. I am actually a Java developer with Grails and PHP Igniter under my belt. I am SO IMPRESSED by what you can do with the LiveCode platform. LiveCode REALLY shines in multi platform deployments: Get this, the EXACT SAME CODE runs as a...

Run RevTalk from QR codes
Be first in supporting QR as a dynamic platform where scripts are embedded in the QRcode and then interpreted by LiveCode running in a mobile device. You can do this already using a QR reader plugin, but it would be best if you could increase the ten-line limit of a dynamic “do” command at runtime… ...

Re: Market LiveCode as an "Application" Internet Browser
Hi Richard, Sorry, YES, I was referring to RevOnline (in the toolbar as "User Samples"). Thanks for asking and allowing me to clarify. I think the RevOnline, or the "RevNet" stacks running as a standalone LiveCode engine that can run stacks would be awesome to release as an Application Internet brow...

Market LiveCode as an "Application" Internet Browser
LiveCode is already a platform that has the potential to disrupt the browser market. In fact, an "application browser" already exists in LiveCode: the Control Center. Why not capitalize on this and provide Livecode developers with a Marketplace? I think that new breeds of developers would drool on i...

I want to speak for the silent majority of people who could care less about game development. There are and will always be better gaming platforms. Runrev, the company MUST focus on making Livecode robust and stable first and foremost.
