The paths seem straightforward enough. Yes, it may be helpful to try a fresh install. I did it. Everything is ok now... :-) I noticed I had numerous old files, some dating back to 'Revolution time'... But why those file prevented a normal startup? LC is located on my boot disk in /Applications/LiveCode Business 9.6.1.app
There files in Users/andre/Library/Preferences/RunRev

Should I remove LC and all connected files and reinstall?

What is the "normal" loading time of LC 9.6.1 Business?
It is terribly slow her on my iMac running Catalina: nearly 15 mintues !

I'm still unable to test locally newly built HTML5 apps. They are running correctly online.
Components are loaded but the window remains blankI the spinning wheel turning...

Thanks for your replies... -hh, I got a HTML5 licence (recent)... :-) So do you mean that with added javascript I could for instance present a text input field inside the HTML5 canvas?
