LiveCode Mobile development is not supported on Linux, this is on our list of future developments.

My mobile developement tab is grayed/disabled, so I cannot specify a path to android sdk etc (screenshot is attached):

I run LiveCode 5.5.0 on Debian testing

dpkg --get-selections | egrep "jre|jdk|java"
ca-certificates-java install
default-jre install
default-jre ...
