Can CGI scripts be compiled or must they be in plaintext and runtime interpreted?

Pre-Processor?

Does LC have a concept of pre-processor directives and tokens? I know I can use runtime logic to accomplish some of the same effects but i would prefer have access to a preprocessor. In a simple example one could use a preprocessor directive to include / exclude debug code. If the native tool does n...

Re: Dictionary as PDF?

Thanks for the link. The paper form offered in the store is just so 1970s If we can not get a up to date version offered from the vendor, what about a stand-alone app (LC) which offers the following features; - stand-alone, runs outside of the IDE - ability to annotate / highlight on a public, semi-...

Re: Dictionary as PDF?

I would be open to it being a for sale item in the store as PDF or ebook book format.

The current offer seems to be restricted to one screen on a Mac. I always have issues moving it to my others screens. Also notes are restrictive

Re: Data Grid navigation

Does the DataGrid detect swipe up & down gestures? It appears that the "mouseDown" message is sent on a iPhone both when 1) the user intends to select a row for further action and 2) when the user is attempting to "page down" or "scroll down" through the swipe up & down gestures. Is this a flaw in t...

Data Grid navigation

Hey, Just started working with the data grid and have a few questions. I am stumbling my way through this control and messages. I found the lesson at http://lessons.runrev.com/s/lessons/m/datagrid/l/7316-how-do-i-add-a-mousedown-event-to-the-data-grid-without-breaking-it, which is helpful, but the l...

Re: LiveCode 6.0.1 test release available

Last month I paid an annual support renewal for ~$250 US in anticipation of the promised 6.x upgrade. I now hear from internet posts, that i have to re-buy a license to get 6.x (~$500 US). This is very confusing, as i am usually accustom to software maintenance contracts covering upgrades. Had I kno...
