Re: revBrowser displays nothing

Hi
Thanks guys - thats 100% the problem - removed the backdrop and it all works fine. Had it before and solved it in the same way and somehow did not remember it and it was driving me up the wall.

I agree Klaus, I will report it as a bug.

revBrowser displays nothing

Hi I am having a very basic problem in that revBrowser does not display ANYTHING. I now reverted to RunRev supplied example code n(see below) and still nothing is displayed. I did build in some answer commands at every point and all the variables are OK - I tried LC 5.5 and 6.1 (both commercial lice...

Re: HTACCESS Install on shared hosting problem

Thanks to both of you for your answers and suggestions - much appreciated. i think you may be right, livecode-server is installed in cgi-bin (in root) but the cgi-bin folder is probably not properly set-up and I will now get the hosting company (Hetzner) to look at that for me.

Thanks again
Danny

Re: HTACCESS Install on shared hosting problem

Hi Bangkok Thanks for your kind assistance- you have "DirectoryIndex index.irev index.lc index.html" which I did not have before so ... I changed my HTACCESS file to be exactly like the one you sent and still get "The requested URL /cgi-bin/livecode-server/test.lc was not found on this server" - now...

Re: HTACCESS Install on shared hosting problem

Hi Thanks for the feedback. I do have it in the same directory (public_html) as the normal index.html (which works fine). I tried moving the test.lc file up and down in the file structure and changed path names in HTACCESS and placing the test.lc file in that directory - still the same. So I must be...

HTACCESS Install on shared hosting problem

Hi I installed Livecode Server successfully on MAMP in my test environment. I am now trying to get it going on the production Linux shared hosting service and as I cannot have access to the Apache config/setup - I need to use the .HTACCESS option. I installed everything according to the lessons/manu...

Access to custom fields in iOS Contacts

Hi The current access to iOS Contacts is great but I would like to use the facility to add/access a custom field (as can be done when you edit a current contact on the iPhone/iPad decice) in order to classify the contacts associated with my App. Any ideas on how that can be achieved as custom field ...

Multi line data field in iOS

Hi This is really a dumb and elementary question but I am at the end of two VERY long days of trying to find a simplistic example or stack (manuals, examples, forums etc) that can explain to me what commands to use to populate a multi-line data field ("group") in iOS (i.e. not keyboard entry) and/or...

Re: How to configure LIveCode 5.5 with new Xcode 4.3?

Hi I have been running C5.0.2 for a while and could test and build iOS apps quite happily. I installed LC5.5 (Licended version after using it in demo) last night and now I cannot get the TEST button to react/activate at all - neither LC 5.5 or ye olde faithful 5.0.2 - where can I start looking for t...
