Re: Quoting between substacks

Thank you for clarifications. I have now tried and experimented without succes. Briefly: 2 substacks: a) "Phenomenalog", accumulating daycards, with textfield, for users diary notes b) "Parsings" with two fields : i) "searching" & ii) "occurrences" The handler "phenoparse" is placed in the script of...

Re: Quoting between substacks

Thank you for the reply. But I can see that the title of my topic was misleading . I think the best I can do is to quote the whole original handler, with its reference to an external folder. Which editing is necessary if the result instead shall accumulate on a new card in a sub stack "Parsings" wit...

Quoting between substacks

I have previously developed a function to parse in the content of users accumulating daycards of my multidimensioned diary application ”Phenomenalog” where the results from the parsings where sent to html files in an external folder. I have now decided to develop the application in such a way, that ...

Re: are there attempts to develop a revBrowser compatible with Linux ?

I am embarassed to confess, that my problems installing the chromium browser was a personal mix up of passwords. So I followed your instructions, and have it now as my secondary browser. I started a "linuxbrowser" substack, and tried to script it following Bogs exampel. I will save you for the detai...

Re: are there attempts to develop a revBrowser compatible with Linux ?

Oh, thank you for your effort, it looked so promising,.....but then access to run the Synaptic Package Manager required an authentication but doesn't accept my password. I searched in various ways, and found a trace in ubuntuforum, describing such a problem and I quote: gconf-editor >apps>gksu>sudo-...

Re: are there attempts to develop a revBrowser compatible with Linux ?

Thank you for the advice. I have experimented to create a new browser window through that way, without visible result. I notice, that the dictionary specifies only for mac and windows I guess you are aware of that, and think there are still hopes for my LC commmunity 8.1 Linux version. I created a n...

Re: are there attempts to develop a revBrowser compatible with Linux ?

So, it looks like if your running a *low ram system, you can install up to 8.1.0 of the stable releases, or 9.x of the developer previews. So it seems that if I could find a way to replace my 8.1.9 installer with an 8.1.0 installer this might solve my problem. But LC community only offers 8.1.9, -i...

Re: are there attempts to develop a revBrowser compatible with Linux ?

As I read it MWieders instructions seems to refer to already installed versions. My problem is how to make the installer to install. I will be grateful if bogs will try to instruct precisely. The file is LiveCodeCommunityInstaller-8_1_9-linux.x86 It is presently on my desktop. I copied it to a folde...
