FINALLY it has all come together with the [code]revExecuteSQL dbID, "SET NAMES 'utf8'"[/code] command! Thank you! I have been trying to use LiveCode to retrieve Japanese/UTF8 from a mySQL database that has both Japanese data and Japanese field/column names, with very little success for several days....
