Re: live code on raspberry pi

Thanks for that. Yes of course the installer does have the 'only you' option. ASI have livecode installed elsewhere and never us that option it didnt occur to me. I have mow installed live coed on the Raspberry pi and although it starts up OK it wont run on my project's small Ras.Pi display. Just ou...

Re: live code on raspberry pi

thanks for the straight forward reply. I sometimes think that the forums stray very quickly from the initial question that may be from an absolute beginner. One of the reasons that i stay away mostly is that a question often ends up becoming a discussion between experts about stuff that is very inti...

Re: live code on raspberry pi

OK. A lot of information there. Most of which is over my head or not really relevant. I am not new to live code but I am new to PI. I do understand the limitations but want to work on a small project at the PI due to its remote location and lack of wiFi etc. I have already downloaded the Live Code &...

FINDING THE ANDROID SDK

Well here I am again... Each time that I move to a new PC I have the same problem in finding the android sdk or jdk path. its not like I am new to Live Code I've been around for bit. This is one of the things that tipped me away from buying another year of Live Code. Such a great platform and this h...

BUILDING FOR iOS on windows environment

Hi All. Never come across this situation as I used to run the commercial version of L.C. But Why is it that I can use paid version of the community live code on my Mac and build for and test on iPad but in the windows version I cannot build for iPad? Is this a live Code thing or, if it is an Apple t...

coding for ARDUINO

Hello All.
Hope this is the right place to ask this question.
Is anyone coding for the Arduino platform? I want to use existing hardware in an industrial environment to monitor I/O via bluetooth and / or RS485.
If any one can advise I would be grateful.
Cheers and thanks.

moving an image with the mouse

Hello All. Got "trapped" into building a live code doll house for my Granddaughters..........
I want them to be able to put furniture wherever they want using touch or the mouse.
Never tried to write a game or anything like one before.
Hope I can get a head start here.
Thank you all.

add an item to an option box or list box

Hello all.
I am trying to allow a user to add an item (a location name for example) to a list already populated with some defaults. I want to be able to type the name into a text box and use a button to add it to the list box or option box contents.
Is this possible?
Cheers

Re: image capture on android devices

Hi Mark
Thanks.
Yes that's what I want to do but the code snippet you gave me will come in handy in another part of the program.
I will get back with what I am trying in a day or so as I am traveling between work sites at the moment.
Many thanks again for taking the time.
Cheers

Re: image capture on android devices

Hi Mark
Many thanks for the reply.
I have tried a few methods but have one issue or another.
My app requires the user to take a photo and log it with a report nothing too difficult I guess.
I will let you know how I get on.
Thanks again.

image capture on android devices

Hello all. I have been looking around the forum for some info on image capture on Android....most of what I find is a bit old. Is anyone around the forum using live code successfully to capture images into an app? I would appreciate any help in this area. Image capture on iOS is not a problem but I ...

Re: ANDROID/WINDOWS8 4 BIT WONT WORK??!!

Hello again Neil Tried to follow the video but too fast and also resolution no good for reading on any of my computers. However. Are you saying that the android SDK has to be installed before livecode??? Seems a bit strange that this is the case. I am sure lots of folks have livecode on board and do...
