Re: POST URL and terminator characters

Hello,

I confirm that this is a BUG of 4.5-dp3 version. In fact I made a test using the old version (4.0) and it works perfectly (no extra CR+LF is added).
I will submit it in the bug tracker.

Thank you.

POST URL and terminator characters

Hello, I encountered a strange problem in my program. I send data to a java server using a POST command: post myData to URL " ..... " The nasty thing is in the received data, in post data, there is a CR+LF added to the posted data!! I made a check and I do not insert that terminator. It seems RunRev...

Re: is there a sound editor developed with runrev ?

Yes, this is what I said. You create a GUI in Revolution, then call some commands (console commands) to accomplish the job. Here some tools that could be useful to you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SoX http://freepats.zenvoid.org/tools/ http://tph.tuwien.ac.at/~oemer/wavetools.html http://www.packtp...

Re: Weird thing I noticed just now...

I don't use Linux from some time, but I think that behavior is not related to RunRev, but to Linux Server Window Manager self.
Try using a different server to check it (try using Gnome, KDE, XFCE, etc...) just to see if the result is the same.

Re: CGI for RunRev 4.5

One question: do you think that I will be able to buy On-Rev server to install it in the company where I work for? Do you think the price could justify some free or open source alternatives (like Apache, PHP, Python, etc...). If I have a consolidated server, I like to write CGI in RunRev, but I cann...

Re: Database manipulation

hello,
how many data do you plan to store?
Do you want to re-create the complete history of lotto extractions?
How many records do you plan to maintain online?

Re: is there a sound editor developed with runrev ?

I think you could take a look to some programs (more Linux oriented) that use command-line to work with audio, video, etc...
So you could use them to apply specific filters.
For example I do that to calculate SHA-1 for some files (since SHA-1 is not implemented in RunRev).

Re: CGI for RunRev 4.5

Yes, I know that, but I think RunRev company should consider that, for companies, it is not feasible using online On-Rev (as in my case).

CGI for RunRev 4.5

Hello,
anyone has good news about CGI with RunRev 4.5?
I found that CGI "-ui" does not work any more with versions more than 3.5

I tried with 4.5 but... no success. Anyone knows something more about it?

Thank you!

Re: Versions comparison: obscure feature

As per my knowledge, that option was disabled in version 4.0.

Versions comparison: obscure feature

Hello,
in the versions comparison for RunRev versions, I found thi item:
Build “Faceless,” non-GUI applications and services
Can you tell me what does it mean? I have RunRev enterprise version, but I cannot write cgi (faceless) programs. And what are "services"?

Thank you!
