Re: Saving recorded sound file

Or use another approach with custom properties like this: Button "record1" on mouseUp set the recordFormat to "wav" ask "Please name the recording:" if it = empty then exit to top end if put it into tUserDefinedName put specialfolderpath("desktop") & "/audio1.wav" into tFile ## Now set two custom pr...

Re: Saving recorded sound file

The 3 buttons are now showing as follows but nothing is recorded and nothing is saved:
I thought your only problem is to assign the user given name to the appropriate recording?
I do not yet see where the user defined name comes into play however, where do you want to display them?

Re: How to update a cell in a Data Grid table?

The datagrid API does not support this, so you will need to update the complete row.

Re: Saving recorded sound file

Hi dalkin, some hints: In your own interest get used to put QUOTES around (file- and object) names: ... mergMicrophoneStartRecording "audio1" ... play "audio.wav" ... To be sure you are allowed to write to file use: ... ask "Please name the recording:" if it = empty then exit to top end if put it in...

Seems a slightly long-winded way of doing something that seems to have been done in a simpler way in HyperCard.

Re: Using external script only stack as behaviour

This will work in the IDE and also in a standalone if you add the script-stacks via the
"Copy files" button in the "Standalone Application Settings".

And exactly therefore we have these specialfolderpath() codes! :D

Re: How to stop Answer Dialog from displaying "answer dialog" ?

So the position of a line should really not matter then.

...So where might any sort of timing routine be located? "PreOpenStack"?. In the script of cd ONE of that stack: on preOpenStack global gAnswerDebugInfo global gAPKLargeFonts, gREVSmallAppIcon, gREVAppIcon local tIcons, tMacOSX, tMargin, tNumber, tIconWord, tIconAllowance, tText local tButtonNames,...

So set your title to " ". 8)
This is alredy done in the "preopenstack" Handler of the "Answer Dialog" stack,
if you do not supply the TITLED parameter!

But apparently this does not work reliably on Windows, no problem on my Mac.
